  • I do not feel good saying this but we really have to take some lessons of Politics from Turkey. We are the victorious side we have to dictate them what we want to do with Artsach not Turkey. Turkey has got nothing to do with it anyways, it is not its land. Armenia has to insist on a fact that Turkey occupies Northern Cyprus. It is such a pity that Vardan Oskanian is gone. He was a brilliant politician. I do think that Kocharian was much better when it comes to the Atsach conflict.

  • loool bunch of lamers , they should be in whistling competitions or something.. Dont get mad that ur government is trying to do whats best for u ass wipes.

  • disapointed .....

  • why are those morons protesting Abdul, their fellow kin? he is an armenian... He confessed this.

  • @attilayhn he is not amernian

  • @TURKKNCL Your ancestors had escaped from Central Asia, occupied peninsula Asia Minor - the territory of Greece and Armenia, and now do you say "We could deport Armenians?Fuck you turkish- mongolian ass.

You remember Armenian terrorist organization ASALA. What about Armenian Genocide? You killed 1500000 and more to take possession of Armenia.

Karabakh is not Azeri lands,Karabakh was occupied 1920 by help of Stalin and ataturk, and now we freed Karabakh.

  • @TURKKNCL border is closed now not because of Karabakh ,but your government are carry out a Islamic policy .You do not like the Christians. If Turkey so powerful, freely, good country why do you need USA's support?

why do tens of million turks live in Europe? In THE CHRISTIAN COUNTRIES!

You foreign policy use cunning with the world.

  • Abdullah Gul is a Gaymenian, that is why is visiting his motherland.

  • @TURKKNCL Maybe you missed Erdogan, your leader's comments about deporting a number of Armenians?

Let's be intelligent here, neither Armenia nor Turkey started relations.

  • @AK410 Well, his words were twisted actually: He said "We could deport ILLEGAL immigrant Armenians, if necessary." They're not Turkish citizens and their presence here is against law. But for long, the governments have been ignoring them and letting them work here.

And who started the normalization process? USA? Even if that was so, it wouldn't change anything. From two countries that are subjects of the process, Turkey took the first step.

  • actually Turkey closed the borders, to this day Armenian borders to Turkey are opened.

    This is reality.

Borders are only closed in a state of war. Armenia and Turkey are not in a state of war. Turkey closed them in response to the Garabag (Artsakh) conflict. It's every country's right to open/close borders but let's tell it like it is.

  • I can't be too angry towards the Armenians who did this. I sometimes want to do the same.

  • Armenians, despite what many say, do not hate Turks. When they get to know Turks as I have they realise we are very similar. I like every Armenian however hate the policy of your government and it's past policies and will continue to work against its harmful policies (towards us) but never will you see me put down another Turk for being a Turk, instead I love you like I love any other nationality.

  • @AK410

Yes, our cultures, life-styles are very similar etc. But such things have no value in real-politics. Turkey was right to close the borders. Azerbaijan is our ally, we couldn't and still cannot ignore them. They accepted to give self-determination to Karabakh and Armenia refused. But I don't think it's up to Armenia to solve this, but Russia. Until Russians say "ok", Turkish-Armenian relations will stay frozen.

  • @TURKKNCL Brother, if you leave it up to Russia, she will crush you and Azerbaijan with all its might..don't kid yourself, Russia will never be real friends with Turkey, it wants that region for its own. You have to remember, at the end of WWII Russia had surrounded Turkey and was ready to invade it, to the point where officers had already been named of which were to rule Erzerum, Kars and all those other Armenian cities that were in Turkey. It only stopped because the US introduced the Abomb

  • @AK410 I'd never say Russia is Turkey's friend. We have been fighting them since times of Moscow principality. To be realistic, Armenia is like Russia's vassal state, the last Russian castle in the region, that's why I think solving this issue is up to Russia not Armenia. The only reason why Azerbaijan didn't get Karabakh back is that there are Russian soldiers guarding borders of Karabakh. So we can't really handle this until Russians say "ok".

  • There are no Russian soldiers guarding the borders, they are young Armenian conscripts. I think maybe you are confusing it with the borders of Armenia and Turkey? In that case, yes, there are Russian soldiers patrolling the borders.

And as for Armenia being the last castle of Russia, absolutely, that is a geopolitical fact, and the same goes for Turkey and the US, although this could change, but for the time being, it seems as if in a political and military sense, it acts in the same way.

  • @AK410 I might have confused. But isn't there a Russian base in Karabakh?

  • @TURKKNCL Whether Azeris are your allies or not, it is still wrong to close the borders as it doesn't help the situation, anti-Turkish sentiment only grows stronger and helps to keep those who are anti-Turkish, in power. Again let me re-iterate, only when 2 states are at war do they close the borders. Armenia and Turkey are not at war.

I personally believe, that there is a growing disconnect with the Anti-Armenian policies of the Turkish government, and it's people.

  • @AK410 Whether borders get closed in state of war or not, they're closed now. Turkey promised, the borders will stay closed until all Armenian-occupied Azeri lands are freed or withdrawn. The Turkish PM himself said so, in Azeri parliament. And the people here won't forget this promise. If the gov. doesn't keep this promise, it could be end of the gov..

  • @TURKKNCL As a Turk, it would be very dangerous to rely on Russia as some sort of moral compass on the issue, it was Gorbachev after all who let the situation get to what it was, he could have very well stopped it before it escalated.

The point is there has been such an Anti-Armenian stance from the government of Turkey over the past century that it would also be unwise for Armenia to trust N-K as a self-determined province of Azerbaijan. This is what Armenians view the situation as.

  • @AK410 Turkey's powerful but yes, surely not enough powerful to balance Russia. That's why we need USA's support.

Armenia actually can handle everything, if she decides to refuse to continue to be a Russian castle. But it's so risky, Russian Secret Service could dare to organize a government change easily... You see again, we need Russians' approval.

  • @TURKKNCL Well, I think it has long been decided where Armenian's fate lies. Unfortunately, as a small country with no economically strong borders, it has to decide which power to lean on. So far it has been on the shoulders of Russia, and after what happened in Georgia, unfortunately, that position won't change. Many Armenians who study the situation firmly believe that Russia has given Armenia some sort of tactical nuke to deter Turkey from ever attacking Armenia. But yes, depends on Russia

  • @TURKKNCL And please brother, read about the Nabbuco and Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan pipeline projects before thinking Russia will help the situation. It is Russia's best interest to destabilise the region because of those 2 and future pipeline projects which intend to rid Europe's dependence on Russia's resources.

  • ANTI TURKEY

  • Gmother was an armenian orphan raised as a moslem turkish family. Gul's grandparents were forced leave their homes in 1915 in Gayseri and they left two daughters to Gul's grandfather (nalbandci) 's kalfa hopin to return. turkish intelligence has named him as an armenian symphtizer back in 80 even during ASALA days.

  • of course it is not true.

a parliamenter who is hate him, said ''abdullah gul's mother is a armenian''

Abdullah Gul answered her, later 2 days.

He said that , my family is orgigal Turk and Muslim, that parliamenter says lie.

    Also Abdullah Gul proceed her.

Because, saying ''armenian'' to anyone it s big insult in Turkey, it s a crime.

  • abdullah gul loves armenia coz his mother is armenian and they r from kayseri..

  • please dont bullshit me please .. .keep your bullshit yourself son.

  • Look at what they did to our people. Our forefathers fought for our freedom, they gave their life to protect our country and now we open the doors to our nr 1 enemy? There is no pride in it. I rather die starving then have good relationships and open borders with turkey.

  • You rather die starving? You are full of shit. Then why are you living in the Netherlands? Opening the border if done CORRECTLY can have enormous positive effects. It strengthens the economy, lessens Georgian and Russian influence on economic and political matters, weakens Azerbajan's hand in the NK negotiations, and can give Armenians a huge sphere of influence in eastern Anatolia. The 4 million hidden Armenians in Turkey will have direct access to Armenia. But, it has to be done correctly.

  • i whant russian infulence. we must never give in to the demands of the turks.

  • I didn't chose to live in The Netherlands. I was very young when my parents brought me here. I agree it can have enormous effects on our country. But instead of opening the borders, Armenians should open their eyes. Think about it, why is Turkey doing this. They don't profit from this. It's all a political game. They want to show the world that they are a peaceful country but they are not. If needed they will attack our country and kill many people again.

  • I meant negotiation posittion.

  • And don't care about Georgia, but Armenia can't survive without Russia. Russia helps us in so many ways. Russian soldiers protect our borders, we get oil and gas from them for a good price (not anymore), we share military intelligence with them, our people in Russia profit in many ways. If Russia wasn't around all these years, Turkey and Azerbaijan would have destroyed our country.

  • There are no 4 million hidden Armenians in turkey. That's not a fact. I agree many Armenians live in Turkey but not 4 million. And they all have access to Armenia. The fact is that our women, children, men were slaughtered by Turkey, they stole our land and our wealth and now they got us in a position they wanted and you know why? Because our president surrenderd us to them. We are not even in a good negotiation. But you know, I don't have to tell you what I think, you just don't understand.

  • very well spoken

  • I hope relations between Armenia and Turkey improve. This was indeed historic.

  • Fuck you man and fuck turkey. We don't need to improve our relationships with turkey. This was a big mistake. The turkish president should have never got to Armenia. The flag of turkey should have never appeared on the Armenian field and in the hands of Armenians and the national anthem should have never been played. Just wrong.

  • @nousername21 dont say "we" if u dnt live there and dont have to suffer like the others. Just because urs and mine lives are sweet, doesnt mean everyone is tasting the honey... open boarders is a big break to Armenia, and i dnt care what u think.

  • @varikoz Do not be naive Turkey is not going to open the boarders without preconditions. Are we as a nation ready to give up Karabakh and forget about Armenian genocide to have the boarders open? That's what Turkey wants in order to open the border. If anyone's answer is yes than they are leading Armenian nation to destruction. There was no need to imitate those protocols. So may people were against. Now Turkey blames on Armenia for stopping the process.

  • Comment removed

  • @varikoz There was a great pressure from EU on Turkey to open the boarders. Actually it was one of the preconditions of the Turkey"s EU accession. There was no need to go forward and initiate those protocols. Now Turkey is saying to the whole world that Turkey tried its best and it is Armenia which stopped the process.
