Every note you play turns to gold. It was a breathtakingly musical performance and I admire all your videos but always feel at a loss to describe ypur music in words. Thank you for all your inspiration.
I've always thought this was one of Beethoven's most beautiful slow movements. It always reminds me of sunrise for some reason. Very nice job on it, George--it really sings.
Yes, I love this movement also. One of my favourite slow movements by Beethoven are: Sonata Pathétique - Andante Cantabile and Moonlight Sonata - Adagio Sostenuto. Very beautiful movements.
@Lawrencelovespiano Quite right! Those are all famous chestnuts we all know and love. Not as many know this movement. I fell in love with it the first time I played it. George's performance reminds me of those happy times.
I haven't played this movement yet, I'm currently working through this Sonata and I'm on the first movement. This is one of my favourite Beethoven Early Sonatas.
Very ably played and nicely characterised. Hearing this sonata brings back (distant)memories of my own teenage performance of it in an exam - but I doubt if I played with anywhere near the poise and assurance that you have!
It's amazing how you can draw people in to the music. About thirty seconds in to all your videos, I just become totally oblivious to everything else and start swaying to the soft sounds flowing from your talented hands.
Fantastic as always George!! A sincere and absolute pleasure to listen!!

This is the jewel of this sonata and perhaps of all Beethoven's early sonatas. Your playing is perfect in every detail.
