  • How fast is the cr250r i was thinking of getting that or the honda CR450R.

  • @schevyk20 get the 450r if you ride dunes. get the 250r if you do anything else. i made the mistake of choosing a 450 and i ride trails, fireroads, mx, etc. holding proper powerband in anything but the ol sand dunes is too much of a chore unless you love fouling spark plugs every week. the 250 is a damn beast with plenty of ponies.. just my two cents ;)

  • @Jagethemage ok thanks i do mosttly trail riding so il get the 250r

  • zoom

  • my buddie has a cr 250 4 stroke and his looks bigger then your couse im 6' foot and when im sitting on it my feet do not sit flat on the ground

  • @mrcoreyzim dont think ur buddie has a cr 250 4 stroke because cr 250's are 2 strokes.

  • @mrcoreyzim hooow dont write another comment he deffently has a 4 stroke cr250 its not hard to tell the diffenrence one takes to cicle gas wich is gas and oil mixed the other mixes the two in the motor not to menchin they sound completly different

  • @mrcoreyzim the cr model is two stroke, he would have a crf. idiot.

  • @mcmastersnick yeah my bad your right now that you menchien it didint realize the F but yeah its a 2005 crf 250 4 stroke see im a four wheeler guy always have been dont know to much about dirtbikes alll i know is his bikes stock and the damn things pretty fast would deffenitly beat a stock raptor or banshee

  • @mcmastersnick shut up you ugly incest looking goofball

  • @mrcoreyzim lol funny. go shove your gay black ops videos up your ass. fag

  • @mcmastersnick how about i shove my h&k 308 up your ass

  • i own both a yz250 and a crf450, love both, can run same lap times with both, its all the rider, and what u like, it cost me close to 170 to rebuild top end on yz and around 209 for 450 without new valves with new valves around 400 so its all what u like and want to spend, 4 stokes last longer if u take care of them but 2 strokes are cheaper its just what u like n how u ride.

  • Yep,I got rid of my YZ250F for a beauty CR250R, I love the ride. much more power and way more fun to rude, man how I was missing out the last 13 years or so "last two stroke I had was a 98 rm125"

    2S4L!

  • just back from the track with my '05 cr250.....mental bike, but when it comes to 2 or 4 stroke...its just down to what you fancy tbh, each have pro's and cons.

  • man how fast does one of those bikes go just wondering

  • @yourmommeys about 80 on street

  • @yourmommeys i have a cr250 04 and i clocked it at 125kmph beside a car. but they can hit up to about 130-140

  • braaaaap, love that sound

  • give me back the 46 second of my life back

  • can every one grow up with their rediculose claims about which is better 2-stroke or 4-stroke. you sound like children fighting over who really got "shot" in a game of cowboys and Indians. It's all personal opinion and riders capability that determines which is better. You know why a 2stroke rider can beat a four stroke rider it's because they are a more skilled rider. the situation can be reversed completely like a person on a 4-stroke beating a 2-stroke and it is still the same, its all skill

  • @16151615 hey guy you are definately wrong. 2 stroke is way lighter and has more power. when it comes to the top end, two strokes are much simpler and once you have raced and been on both and had to fix both like me, you will realize 2 strokes are easier and better.

  • @GreenKimjongil pk here's food for thought i've had a cr 125 and now have a crf250. 2006 crf 250-206.0 pounds, 2006 cr125 197 pounds. now ive riden both of those exact bikes had the suspension the way i liked it and there wasnt any significant differance between either of them the only differance i noticed was that i was on a differant bike. 34.9 Hp on a 06 cr 125, a 2006 crf 250 horsepower 33-34. yes a 2 stroke is easier to rebuild, but can also be mutch more temperamental than a 4stroke.

  • @16151615 open up the throttle on both of them when they are jetted and tuned for racing. once you hit the powerban on the 2 stroke you are gonna be gone

  • repack your silencer

  • well the best off them ride 2stroke ye never c travis pastrana ridin a 4stroke or ricky charmikeal or bubba stewart

  • @daveotoole2k7 LOL srry m8 but Travis,Ricky and James have all raced 4 strokes lolz.........allthough I think 4 jokes are for lazy ass sissy pants!

2 stroke forever and always the real dirtbike experience!!!

  • @670lamborghini How are they for lazy ass sissy pants? They put out good power. The new YZ450F is nuts.

  • @BigManlyMan4 they do have good power. but thats why people consider them to be lazy ass sissy pants riders lol, they can lug around in 3rd the whole time and still be pretty quick because of the extra low end power, no need to actually have much skill in shifting gears, or clutch control. Now for the record im not bashing 4 stroke riders its just about what you like, i love the sport of MX period

  • @IIIHateIII Yea I enjoy the 250 2 stroke. But if I want a bike that has the same power, and a longer engine life I would go with the 450. They go just as good, and the lifespan is greater.

  • @BigManlyMan4 dont have alot of experiance on a 450 so i dont know about there engine life, but i do know they cost alot more to repair when it is time to do so :( my cr250 cost about 170-200 per top end rebuild my friends crf450 took like 800ish... his top end rebuild cost almost half as much as my whole bike did lol

  • @IIIHateIII I dont either I just know they last longer. I actually just blew the crank in my KX250 today. ahahahahaha. BRAAAAAP KLUNK! I have the tsuff to rebuild her so thats my next project.

  • @BigManlyMan4 lol ouch, that sucks hope you move faster then i do lol i broke my frame like 4 months back and still havnt got around to fixing it its just the tail end tho so i still ride around just with no rear fender or silencer lol

  • @BigManlyMan4 sorry bud... you could put a brand new 450 in front of me or a 250 two stroke and I will take the two stroke any day. WAY cheaper to fix, 4 strokes suck!

  • @futureunknown You have to rebuild them more often tho. So using the cheaper to fix point doesnt work. What it all comes down to is personal preference. Theyre both equally capable bikes, and no one can ride either a 2 or 4 stroke, to its fullest capabilities.

  • a cr250 has 2 times the power of a 250f because 2 stroke engine spine twice as fast as four stroke and they are alot quiker a 250f has the same power as 2 125 2 stroke ive been riding bikes my whole life and 250f`s aew so slow compared to these things no joke

  • Re-pack that pipe man. It would sound much better.

  • its faster than a 450.

  • ha your funny i rode a cr250 and a crf450 nothing to compare there my cr250f could beat my cr250 and my 450 would dom all of them

  • @RECKLESSRENEGADES

well thats funny since i've even

heard professional riders say a cr250 has alot more power than a cr250f. so your lying. and everything you say from now on will be lies. if your inlove with the 4strokes..thats your problem. they're easier for lower skill level riders to ride and thats why all the little kids like them. cc for cc..two strokes make more power. its a proven fact. so why do you guys keep arguing? its not going to change. get over it.

  • yeah why dont you show me the ratio on how many professionals are for 2 strokes and how 3/4th's of them are for 4 strokes, oh wait, those professionals must be lying to right? fucken dumbass

  • @RECKLESSRENEGADES i know this is old and all but just so ya know, pro's are riding 4 strokes because of AMA rules, i belive there is a yamaha vid somewhere where the guy states the yz250(2stroke) has too much power for him and he likes his yz250f(4stroke) just in case you want to see

  • AMsoil FTW!!!!!!! wutt wutt. anyways, i have had a few bikes, but i just recently recieved a 1997 cr250r, and in my opinion it hauls ass. have a nice day.

  • bro i dont hate i love all name brand bike they all have diff qualities" no chinese shit "

  • bike sounds and looks like it runs good if you look really far behind you , you might see a 4 stroke

  • hahaha! i think its the other way around

  • no one cares about all your life storys

  • In 2003 I bought a brand new CR250

As a weekend warrior, I rode every weekend averaging 8-12 hrs for 3 seasons on the original engine.

no rings, no tear down. When I sold it, it still had about a 165 lbs compression. I used bel-ray oil. I can't remember what type, but it was about $18 a qt.

Goes to show with quality 2 stroke oil and the air filter cleaned out after EVERY ride, you can greatlt extend the component life of your engine.

  • wow dude you sound just like me.. i also have a brand new 2003 CR250R and run bel ray oil and i ride every weekend wow.

  • what year is that?

  • fuuuuuuuk!

  • how often do you rebuild the engine or put new pistons in the cr 250? and how do you prevent having to do so? im more of a 4 stroke guy but im getting a 2 stroke soon.

  • youll always have to rebuild the top end every so often its not something that you can 100% avoid. but to prevent it for as long as possible just take good care of it and take your time mixing the gas and id assume that it would help if you included a higher oil/gas ratio than required. and if you do that it'll prob last around 100 hours

  • and every bike needs maintenece

4 strokes need valve jobs, 2 strokes need rebuilds

  • ya but 4 stroke need alot of maintenance

  • iv had my crf100 for a 1 1/2 years and iv never done anything exept change oil, clean air filter, and tighten chain ,once a month and i ride it for about 30 minutes every day

  • hes talking about motocross bikes not slow trail bikes, we all know that those dont need alot of maintenance.

  • sure the 4-strokes need alot of care depending on how hard you ride them, if you rev out hard and hit rev limiter a lot then expect to adjust your valves 2x and up a month but if your not tough on them, it can go for a while

  • change the rings ever 10-15 hrs if you ride hard. and your piston will last easy 100 hrs.

  • just change the rings every 0-15 hours and ur good???? also wuts the deal with cutting the ring or something?? i never understood that cuz i never did a topend b4, lemme know thanks

  • yea. and thats if you really really ride your bike. i d it. it helps to stop piston/cylinder scuffing.

and i do not do that with my rings. i just put them in how i get them from the factory.

  • you dont nessecarily have to replace the pistons but you have to replace the rings every so often. The best way to keep your topend mint that i know of is do a good job installing it and break it in good also make sure your jetting isnt LEAN!!

  • nice look at my video kx80 fly by urs dont look much faster

  • CR250 and CRF250 are in complete different leagues

  • that thing is fucking disgrace to all the cr250 riders including my self

  • heyyyyy go slower or the radar will catch you ... :))) nice !

  • gay video but i love 2 strokes!

  • 2 strokes will never die!

  • @weimer495 Yes they will...watch them become illegal in the coming years..

  • @Bl0OdYShAdOw marijuana is illegal and its not gone o.O

  • mate you werent hitting the power bands before you shift up?

i know the bike can accelerate faster than that and it could go quicker

    sooo

    hmmmm

    good vid tho

  • is it a 95 model?

  • is it a 95 model?

  • dang bro u were haulin there

  • that thing is so old compare that to a new 250 and u would be amazed

  • my cock is two stroke but my bike is four

  • girls must love you. 2stroke and your done. so much for stamina. get a girlfriend hahaha

  • and you ride a vespa scooter hahaha

  • my cock and bike are both 2stroke

  • People who like riding 4 stoke bikes over 2 strokes are one of the 3 following: 1.Fat 2. Horrible at riding 3. Old

  • um then how come all the pros ride 4strokes??

  • They are paid to ride those bikes. nothing wrong with 4-stroke. i just like the raw power of the 2-stroke.

  • 2 stroke ?

    Raw power ?

in one sentence , don't make me laugh..

  • yessir they are paid. the big boys in the companys saw potential in bringing in these complicate jap bikes to sell and start a new so called fad. it worked. MANY people went out and bought in to the "four stroke revolution" i did as well. badddd idea. im going to buy a 2005 yz250 in the next week. my lap times were incredibly faster on a smoker.

  • dude there are four strokes in motor cross.

  • i have to say I would pick a 2 stroke over a 4 stroke because of price of parts and labor. And for some you boys that are goin to say (well 4 strokes rock) well thats true but not for someone who dont want a monster bike that weighs as much as a small 250 4 wheeler. I like the feel of a 2 stroke alot better because of the snappy powerband and just the over all setup! And as far as the 4 strokes being faster than a 2 stroke, lets get on a track and see. lol

  • i get wat ur sayin but my crf250r has dual exhaust and thats wat i love bout it

  • lol dual exhaust dont really do anything, i know ur probably new to motocross and u think that dual exhaust makes it sooo much better then one. ur wrong, its just the new style honda is doing. its not any faster

  • i no but i just think it looks sweet and ya im new 2 motocross

  • Fizano, I'll beat you on a 65 CC dumbass

  • youll beat my 06 kawi 250 on a 65 CC, god people are just fucking dumb as hell

  • way to wear a helmet

  • wow, your a tool. you got six negative comments.

  • that was = to 1989 Cr500r..my uncles got 1

  • Who cares 4 stroke 2 stroke,Suzuki,Kawasaki or KTM, or Honda or what the shit... If you're a good driver you go fast anyway...

  • what the fuck, i hope u dont have a dirtbike because if you do just give it away, give it away to someone whos knows what there talking about and knows what there doing u dumbass

  • who gives a shit what he says on youtube, and besides, hes got a point so yeah man just fuck off

  • that'd suck to have head shake lol.

  • 2strokes roxx. LOL! MX OWNS STUPID MOPEDS!

  • nice stuff man

  • whos really cares if its 2 stroke or 4 stroke.... as long as its honda lol

  • jamsocks07, its 4-strokes are like tampons every pussy has have one

  • come on man thats not cool to say you should have love for all dirt bikes if you really enjoy dirtbiking, i own 2 and 4 strokes and they both have their ups and downs, youve obvisouly never ridden a modern 4 stroke 450, these bikes have more power most riders can even use. 4 strokes arent just for trail bikes anymore

  • i reckon 4's a better for trail then 2's still for trail rideing, 2's you gotta hit the gas and stay on the band or your stuffed on big hills

  • i agree that 4 strokes are better for trail .. they have a more tame power plant but i dissagree about 2 stokes and big hills ... all you need to do in throw it down one and pin it!!!!!!

  • well your not supposed to cruise up big hills. thats how you flip. a 2 strokes power is usually in the higher rev range so it would be less likely to bog down..if its in the higher revs.

4strokes have more low end torque but your tire wont be moving fast enough in the lower rev area to get up a big hill.

  • mm yes and no i reckon bro, on the 450 you can take hills slower for a trail rideing purpose and just sit on a fixed lower speed and just ease up, 250s, like you said, have to e in the higher RPM makeing more damage if you were to crash or get into trouble

  • well i was talking about BIG hills. ones you cant possible cruise up. but yes the ones your talking about the 450 would be an easier ride. my cousin has a xr500. my 250 kills it. the 500 has more low end torque and is really easy to cruise on. its torque is pretty cool tho you can just blip the gas n it'll buck the whole bike. it'll prolly run 85mph too. havent really had it topped out.

  • stick to the two bangers there way cheaper to rebuld.Blow up a four banger, you might as well go buy a new bike.lol 2 strokes rule awlaws

  • they both got their pros and cons

  • 2 strokes aren't bad but I'll still pick a 4 stroke over a 2 stroke

  • ya id rather have a four stroke than a 2

  • yea thanks dude, right with you on that one

  • You all dont know what riding is if you dont have powerband like a 2 stroke!

  • Yea ok. I don't know what riding is then, oh well. I have fun anyways. pssshhh

  • 2 stroke roxx ....

  • most veteran riders have riden both 2 strokes and 4's.. i have riden both.. i own both.. howeveri rather ride a 450f than a 250... just more reliable straight poewr.. none of that bogging shti

  • The two stroke probably isnt tuned right because if it was it would kill any four stroke.

  • completely wrong dude, four stroker gonna pull more due to more consistant low end power, my 2smokers have a nice powerband but i dont get that instant pop

  • i really don't see how people can say a 4 stroke is a better bike when u need twice the engine displacement to match a 2 stroke.

  • wen people say there better, i dunno if they mean there faster or have more power but there def more reliable, i had a cr 250 now i have a kxf250 and theres less maintenance and they go pretty much the same round the track :P

  • I don't know, i have a cr250 with the same piston in it as it did when i bought it, and it still runs superb with no problems. I race from time to time and i seem to be easily faster than the 450's on the straights and most of the track. I don't know, I guess im adept to 2 stroke power and I feel faster when i ride a 2 stroke. A 4 stroke is easier to ride , but it doesn't feel as fast or as snappy.

  • suppose it comes down to what you prefer

  • couldn't agree more with AgentJ

  • ya i got i CR250 to and its got more acceleration then a 4-stroke but in the top end the waist me, and a 2-stroke is a hell of a lot lighter then a 4-stroke

  • Dude uh your pretty dumb the 450F is the same weight as a 250R because they have to be that weight to race pretty sure its like 218 lbs

  • Bullshit... 250R is much lighter than 450F and there isn't such rule that they must be same weight on race. Rule is that 250 can't be lighter than 95kg or something like that.

  • yup 250 is lighter!

    Cheers!

    minimum weight limit for racing....please!

  • go to the honda site and it says the cr250r weighs 213lbs

  • I think the feel of the 2-stroke is matchless. Love the CR

  • yea, you really can't match the snappiness of one. im still loving mine.

  • I have a 07 CRF450R, and just purchased a 04 CR250R, I missed having a 2-stroke around!

  • i just switched froma cr85 to a crf250 15years old and riding since i was 4 but anyways the cr85 is like not that even far from the crf250 i want more power!!!!!

also i went from wet grass to my newly blacked blacktop and fucking droped my baby!! and riped the grip

    im sooooooooo pissed!!

  • Comment removed

  • you guys are fools lol (no offense) never happened here n i love it, all personal perference i suppose

  • yeah they dont wanna hear anything about how 4 strokes are so much better cuz they can only afford their dinosaur old 2 strokes so they mark everything as spam

  • yup i guess i dont now what riding is ether

  • Yeah well what do four strokes and tampax have in common ? All pussys have got one ! lol

  • LOL!!!!

  • The only people who diss 2 strokes are the ones the don't have the skill to ride one.

  • hey fuck you motoxm4n. ill fucking smoke your ass anyday on a 2stroke you little bitch.

  • my dad's first dirt bike was a cr80 that could go 85 mph!!

  • bull shit

  • What ? Pulled by a bowing 747 ? flol

  • yea u r gay!

  • four strokes blown u fagot

  • damnnn that thing roars

  • it screams man
