Caustic are the Ties that Bind is probably my favourite off the album (since I listened to In Waves so much it lost a tiny bit of its novelty, but still kickass)
@TheFutureIsFucked I personally thought it was a very solid album. Definitely not Shogun or Ascendancy but I personally enjoyed listening to it. The things that stood out to me the most within the album was the vocals, drums, sound and the producton work. Hey, but everybody has their own opinions.
@SweetNoteage I do appreciate an intelligent opinion so i'll give you that one. though my thoughts and opinion is and are complete opposite to what you've said,i thought the album sound first of all wasn't that great if good at all, production neither, the lyric were simplistic as were the guitar parts seems like they rushed through the album cause i've heard albums where you can almost hear the passion bleed through the speakers and it seemed very one demensional and boring. to me.
I kinda think the lyrics to the whole album are based around Travis leaving. The whole theme throughout the album is about something ending slowly (just like Trivium said would happen if Travis was still in the band). I bet they're leaving it up to fan interpretation just because they don't want to come out and publicly say most of the lyrics were about Travis leaving
I really am enjoying the new direction Trivium are taking, I'm very keen to listen to the entire album, but I've just got a feeling that it'll be great. Yeah, it's different, but bands evolve. Deal with it.
fuck what style you think they are just enjoy the music and if you dont like them why watch the vids???????? a reason i like trivium is i can tell you what album is playing from a few seconds of a track because every album sounds so different and thats the way it should be you would be trolling if they sounded the same as the last album
@ISBSA1 I like Ascendancy. I like The Crusade. I love Shogun. Trivium were one of the first extreme metal/metalcore bands that I ever discovered as a teenager. I've really enjoyed witnessing the evolution of their sound since Ember to Inferno, but I'm really not impressed at all with what I've heard from the new album. I understand that they're clearly going for a more straightforward, polished, and groovy/catchy listening experience. I understand it, but I'm not impressed.
@CorporateNothing ill hold out on judging until iv listened to the album at least 5 times i like all the albums but i did have trouble with crusade at first i didnt like the vocals coz he sounded to much like hetfield (im a big metallica fan btw) the 2 songs they have released on here are pretty good or at least i think so...like you said its a more polished simplified trivium most bands do this at some point........tbc
@CorporateNothing +1 I approve. Down From The Sky/Shogun was the first stuff I heard by them. I was like 'wtf is this this!? this is awesome!!!' I didn't have that with the songs they put out so far 'okay pretty cool' but not a love for it from the start. Yes I will like it, same goes for other albums by other artists but it so far didnt have the 'wtf is this shit!' effect with me.
idk why people bitch about nick's drumming pay attention you fucks i bet 100% of the people that say stupid shit like that dont even know how to play the drums stfu and pay attention
