Let's see, we have Dreamer, Mysterio and Jericho currently wrestling in the WWE, all three of which were in ECW. Rhino, the Dudleys, Foley and Tazz are on TNA, and I'm pretty sure I saw Raven and Stevie hang out there a few times too.
Of course, if you don't consider people who left ECW before it died to be originals, then that leaves us with Dreamer and Rhino, both of which are still active in a major wrestling promotion.

You know, ECW wasnt exactly about extremeness, it was about taking guys who got treated crap by WCW and WWF and making them big stars in their promotion, the extremeness was a gimmick. In fact, Paul heyman said one of the reasons he never went back to ECW was because of the fact Vince was just making it the originals and extreme stuff, when that was not what ECW actually was.
but ECW was once the land of the extreme for a reason even if ECW was made to make WCW & WWF rejects big names but even now that's still ECW but now it no longer has the extreme gimmick that was ECW
Gimmicks are meant to be used and then put back in the toy box to be used later. It wasnt just about throwing chairs and goin through tables, it was about the extreme athleticism and power of the competitors.
See that? Not only weapons are extreme, Sabu dosent need a chair to do an "oh mah gawd" move. The dudleys dont need a table to get a reaction from powerbombing someone from the top rope. See what i'm getting at here?

not necessarily. he only requested his release to spend more time with his wife n daughter. the door will be open for him whenever hes ready to get back in and make a statement. He has a lot of fightin abilties inside his tank. jus because he retired, does not mean ecw has seen the last of him jus yet. anything can happen 5-6 years from now. you never know

But if "Team 3D" wants the names, they can easily obtain them. Also, TNA is a lost cause and has been for quite some time. Actually got to meet Tommy on his way out the proverbial door of TNA and he certainly didn't save it. No knock on Dreamer, though. As far as ECW's main event went, he was one of the best.

Well rey didnt stay with ECW until it closed he only wrsetled with ECW for 2 years or so. Mick Foley is on TNA. Tazz is retired and steve richards is not in ECW anymore. So Tommy Dreamer is the last ECW original on ECW

Let's see, we have Dreamer, Mysterio and Jericho currently wrestling in the WWE, all three of which were in ECW. Rhino, the Dudleys, Foley and Tazz are on TNA, and I'm pretty sure I saw Raven and Stevie hang out there a few times too.
Of course, if you don't consider people who left ECW before it died to be originals, then that leaves us with Dreamer and Rhino, both of which are still active in a major wrestling promotion.
And Rhino sucks.

Yeah but of all the guys in the WWE Dreamer had the most impact. Mysterio and jericho were there but it wasn't that long and as a matter of fact Jericho was only there for like 6 or 8 months.

You know, ECW wasnt exactly about extremeness, it was about taking guys who got treated crap by WCW and WWF and making them big stars in their promotion, the extremeness was a gimmick. In fact, Paul heyman said one of the reasons he never went back to ECW was because of the fact Vince was just making it the originals and extreme stuff, when that was not what ECW actually was.

Gimmicks are meant to be used and then put back in the toy box to be used later. It wasnt just about throwing chairs and goin through tables, it was about the extreme athleticism and power of the competitors.
See that? Not only weapons are extreme, Sabu dosent need a chair to do an "oh mah gawd" move. The dudleys dont need a table to get a reaction from powerbombing someone from the top rope. See what i'm getting at here?

That is mainly because of the large amount of children in the audience.
If you said "Oh kurt angle and undertaker and those guys at armageddon 2000 was awesome" near one a child who was a WWE fan, they would probably ask "who's kurt angle and rikishi?"
The only reason they cheer Dreamer is because of his face status, not his "can i have another one, sir" attitude, not because of his status as the only ECW original, because he's a hero right now.
