Does n-acetyltranserase or 5-hydroxyindole-O-methyltranse­rase convert the AMT to a Melatonin analog? I imagine with higher dosages would downgrade 5HT-2 receptors, similar to cocaine downgrading dopamine receptors from high dosages or high MDMA amounts. Don't forget the 5HT releasing or binding drugs can cause cardiac fibrosis if serotonin syndrome occurs.

the biggest risk with mushrooms is getting a rotten or infected one. in which case you become nauseous and trip's often go sour and hard to manage. in terms of clean well preserved mushrooms a person can eat up to their own body weight in mushrooms before overdosing. start low, build your way up if you need to.

It's very important to establish your personal dosage-level; the level at which you still feel comfortable enough not to freak out and lose your marbles...and even losing some marbles is a great thing, IMHO.

Ofcourse you'll have to have had a had trip at least once to understand what it really is and at which dose it will (likely) be a bummer for you. Preferably you will have to at least have an indication of the dose you are taking.

I still think DMT actually IS the perfect drug.

I havent tried AMT, and wouldnt know where to get it, but still, I have never experienced side-effects with DMT that were anything but pleasant and life-expanding.

I have to say I kinda hate MDMA tho. MDMA has only a small bit of pleasantness to it, but that is usually eradicated by the nasty side-effects. Also on MDMA I kinda get nauseous when I try to push it like you can push LSD. Best combo ever is in my opinion DMT on LSD.

I never meant push the limits. I meant pushing the buttons; like on LSD you can get as high as you want from any dose upward of 100 mics.

When I take MDMA (and I dont take it anymore, howver pure it is) I find that even listening to psychedelic trance, or dancing to it makes me nauseous. It is very hard on MDMA to really shift into higher consciousness. As it tends to cause a major leakage in the heart energy. LSD is much more stable and clear. Even as an Empathogen. And LSD has no comedown.

I have to add that I have taken LSD upward of 350 times in the past fifteen years. Also I must add that LSD doesnt last longer than 5 hours for me at any dose up to 1000 mics. And MDMA lasts even shorter for me; less than three hours. Again I prefer smoking DMT, and especially smoking DMT on acid.

sorry, sockpuppetfromhell, I really do not have a comedown from LSD. It always keeps me feeling fit even after it's over. I have to say that I have noticed that vegans and vegetarians (the ones I know) have the same experience.I dont do dairy products, coffee and very little alcohol and hardly any sugar (usually).If I eat a light vegan meal after tripping, my energy stays high and there is no noticable aftereffect apart from the insights that, even after doing it so many times, keep me learning.

People get stuck in trips sometimes, but usually, it will go away after re-establishing one's self on the next trip.

Thing is, some people are so afraid of LSD after a bad trip, that they never ever take it again, efectively getting themselves stuck in a trip for a long time. Usually a simple re-dosing with LSD will fix it.

I have been stuck often enough sometimes for a few weeks even...always have come out of it.

I found AMT to be very similar to LSD but with a cold robotic feel. I read the reports about it being like an entactogen but I had no MDMA like effects. Its more like LSD than anything else I've tried. Same visuals. After the nasty nausea for 1-2 hours it really didnt put me in a positive mind set. And where LSD has a profound cosmic quality, AMT felt emotionally bleak. It was damn frightening. No way I'd ever try AMT again, though I suppose I'm glad I tried it back when it was still legal.
