  • I was in the 7th grade when this song was released. Good memories,good song and good times.

  • Actually the title was not plural- It's 'Get Your Lie Straight'. It made it to #14 on the R&B chart back in 1971. I remember meeting Bill when he opened for Denise Lasalle at the Brass Key in Ensley,Alabama. He was a nice guy. Rest In Peace Bill. This was the only real hit he had." When You Find A Fool,Bump His Head" -written by Denise only made it to #48 on the R&B chart in the summer of 1971.

  • conqueroo 1, I agree 100%. Am I wrong, or did he have at least one tune that crossed over and made the pop charts during his career. I always the fact that there were and still are different charts. I know those charts, at least in the 50's and 60's were due largely to racial differences, but good music is good music no matter who does it.

  • It goes to show you we must keep up with the world musician and others. I just found out Bill died June 2008. He was a good friend of mine even though I lost contact he'll remine a great blues singers.
