  • I like this riff, it's kinda got an Opeth vibe to it I think. Time to subscribe!

  • @Nunfunter thanx for the sub..the riff goes way back writen in 92"i didn't know about the band opeth though at that time!!always funny how simularities occur..guess it's always related to what the listeners ears heard before..cheers..:)

  • it's never to late to learn..all it need it's time and dedication11

  • That's one mean riff. I'm going to have my nephew start watching Joop's lessons, I mean really is there anyone better to learn from?

  • That´s a cool riff!

  • thanx michael..!

  • Nice lesson Joop,I love the phrygian mode and use it quite a lot in my playing. A nice rhythmic figure. Check out my fingerstyle own composition I made in Spain called : Sangre de Flores. The first chord is in B phrygian (Bmi-9) a real Flamenco chord, tell me what you think, groet,Vic.

  • yes vic it's a versatile sound that is applicable on more stuff..here i presented a more heavy example..

you can hear me use this concept on the album OUT OF ORDER on the acoustic flamenco style song callled HARMONIC SPHERES.. be sure to check it out...

  • great playing man!

  • thnx lauri, wishing you a good week,,:)

  • sick!
