@Cowboy2792 ya considering its an 01 base model stang vs a 07 civic si. the 07 v6 base stang would be a much better race. although the civic is a si, so really it should be vs the gt stang, which would rape this si lol. the base model 07 stang can do a 1/4mile in 15flat. the 07 si will do a 1/4 around low/mid 15s. but the gt stang will do a high 13 to mid 14s.

I prefer my Mustang, but the Prelude is fun to drive too. I just tend to get more ricers trying to get me to race them on the freeway in the Honda which is really annoying. But I love driving the Honda at night so my neighbors can sleep haha.
@summit1986SZBB vtec is unique among VVT/i systems. vtec has lift control(not many systems do). plus vtec is way cooler, because it "kicks in", others progressively come on.
@chlee09 okay so they might have lift control sometimes. my point is just that honda's vtec is unique because it doesn't progressively come from the factory like the other systems(although you can tune it yourself to respond to throttle/load instead of rpm, itd be like anywhere from 4300-5800 if your WOT vtec kicks)

Umm that is an automatic transmission mustang with an inexperienced driver. The 5spd mustang is a good match for a 6spd civic si. I have no idea if they made civic si's with automatic transmissions. The one in the video isn't an automatic.
I'm trying to accept that gen y does not have the skill to shift gears. However, it was not so long ago that anything with an automatic was for soccer moms. Oh yeah, it was when that mustang and that civic were new.

I'm suprised as well. It depends on what the older civics had. The ep3 stock engine is slow and the other b16 is the same too. This engine is similiar to the rsx type s. Over 200whp w/ bolt ons.

i've seen a 94 V6 stang with 4.10 Rear gears, a small turbo, cold air intake and a truel dual exaust running on 94 octane do a quarter mile in 12.7 seconds. and 11.9 with a small NOS shot.
thats damn impressive. and the guy said all the modds costed a grandtotal with labour of only $2500 and the Nos kit was $300.
like fuck, thats faster then many sports cars.

Umm that is an automatic transmission mustang with an inexperienced driver. The 5spd mustang is a good match for a 6spd civic si. I have no idea if they made civic si's with automatic transmissions. The one in the video isn't an automatic.
I'm trying to accept that gen y does not have the skill to shift gears. However, it was not so long ago that anything with an automatic was for soccer moms. Oh yeah, it was when that mustang and that civic were new.
