I know he gets a lot of criticism (rightly) for his fight vs Overeem but it would be insane for him to stand against the Reem, he would have gotten KO'd easily. Since leaving the UFC, he beat Kyle, Bigfoot Silva & Fedor. Which is rather impressive to say the least.

(Perhaps because his arms are too thick to properly sink it in). JDS has a very underrated ground game. You never see it because his striking is so dominant against everyone but if Overeem's striking was on a par with JDS then it would perhaps be worth JDS's while to take Overeem down.

On the ground he tries to use brute force rather than technique to keep opponents down and hurt them. It's successful against some people but not against elite guys. I think his striking is so good, that he doesn't train his ground game nearly enough. (He doesn't train ground when he trains for K1)
