  • You should be on the icom radio news. You have tought me so much. By the way how much power are you using? and is it possible to maybe do 100Watts dx?

  • If I Icom would send me a long time loan, then I could be on Icom news!!!

I usually run the amp at about 1200 watts when going after DX. You can do it with 100 watts. Watch my N8S video, I was using 100 watts and it took many calls. Then there is the QRP gang at 5 watts or less. A bit harder to break through the big pile ups. 73 - Randy

  • I have seen that video your probably using a beam on that see I don't have enough money to afford all that I'm still trying to get a ts-480sat (I LOVE THAT RADIO) or a ic-718. Well in after christmas I hope to have enough money for hf. Then I am going to take a general class either by stars w9src or darc w9dup!!!

  • What you see in many hamshacks are years of collecting equipment. Get your ticket and radio. A couple of simple dipoles will get you started. Randy

  • And please: do call it "are tee tee why", instead of "ritty"!

  • This video was made with my Panasonic DVCAM transferred using firewire into pc.

  • I'm curioius what kind of camera you are using .. my logitech webcam sucks... Your's look great, however ..

  • Simon, thanks. I have used two cameras. This video and my tour video were made with my Panasonic DVCAM and transferred to the computer over fireware. The other videos were made with the Creative Labs egg looking webcam. The video quality is much better with the DVCAM. This is the first audio that I have used the new mixer to mix mic and radio together. I then use windows moviemaker for the editing. 73 Randy

  • Hi Randy K7AGE,Enjoyed your video and i enjoy making them myself.Look forward to working you on the air.Im gonna check out some more of your vids.P.S what is the software you are running? 73 all the best. Simon
