I used to love this show soo much when it aired on Toonami. I still like it. The art is just awesome, and contemporary animes tend to look very stale compared to the older style.

I remember seeing an episode on Toonami years ago, and this chick was on the show (forgot her name) and she must've transformed because they showed her bare ass uncensored! I was shocked at the time lol.

I vaguely remember this series. But I do know that I loved it when it was on Toonami. The only thing that I can remember from the whole series, is that they were always one step from getting their asses whooped before finally succeeding.

When the other 4 lend their powers to the Red Warrior he transforms into the White Armor. Later on in the anime he breaks his swords and has the white armored black tiger (aka the white tiger) bring him his dual kitanas. He also utilize this technique with the evil armor warriors when he took controlled them at one time. I used to love watching these shows.

Ironically, about ten years or so after this premiered on Cartoon Network, they tried again by dubbing Saint Seiya (by the same animation studio) as 'Knights of the Zodiac', but it got low ratings (due to the dated animation and bad dubbing) and was pulled.

Speaking of Matt Hill (Ryo's VA) I believe he also did the voice of Ed from 'Ed, Edd, and Eddy'. Pretty talented to be able to Ryo AND a retarded 10-year-old XD

Rowen never did get a proper, full transformation sequence, did he? I've been searching through all 39 episodes... and it's never been show from start to finish (wit the three shots after the spotlight comes down on).

@Eddvelaz Ah good... I had hoped I hadn't missed it! I saw that they gave him at least the finishing scene of it (with the three shots in the spotlight) in one of the OVA's. Doesn't quite match the original, since the petals are different, and there are less of them.... but at least it's something.

Of course this begs the question, why wouldn't they have animated it for him? The world may never know....

@Eddvelaz I know this is a few months late, but Rowen did at least have an opening animation which was used in what I remember to be episode 37, Anubis Armor Revived. It was in the scene were all 5 armor up for the last time in the series against the massive wave of Dynasty Soldiers.

He only got the 3 'still shots' in the OVAs to complete the transformation sequence, as well as a new armor up intro animation which is what you used above.

@Windrave Your right it was episode 37 but he still transformed with the group,He never had one were he was by himself like the rest did.I used the Ova one because it was easy to edit :P

@GB452 Actually, I noticed this a while ago. He didn't get a full scene until the first episode of Gaiden (OVA). Even then, he shared the second half of it with Kento. But in the second OVA (Kikoutei), they ditched the old sequence and reanimated it anyway. lol. he never got the chance to tranform because he wasn't even found until episode ten of the series!

I'm a voice actor myself (haven't been in an anime yet, although that's a long-term goal...mostly doing narration and commercials right now), and I've head the pleasure of interacting online with a number of other voice actors. I have yet to interact with Matt Hill, but by coincidence, I did meet his nephew, Simon Hill, on Facebook...and it's amazing--he sounds EXACTLY like Matt.
