@joshua4846 Yeah, i had the most problems with that part too, practice, practice when you are in the mood, but put your guitar down when youre head aches from it :)

@stevehungary that doesnt normally take long, but im learning new stuff all the time. I've devised a metal-esque scale, and only just learned to palm mute after about a year xD hopefully it wont take me long to master Master, if you catch my drift

@joshua4846 Yeah, I learnt palm muting after a half year or so too. Before it I thought the songs sounded different than what i played because of the shitty amp :)

@stevehungary well i have shitty 10watt amp that cost about £15. It works but i only have overdrive and it doesnt hold distorted notes very well, but my SG copy provides a good tone

i play this song entirely using power chords and the open E power chord just doesnt sound right in standard, but tuning the E up half a step just so its a little higher gives the right pitch. I will put a vid up in the next few weeks to prove this

@stevehungary Well I agree with the tuning, I was jut arguing with all those that think the song is in standard, or that this tuning doesnt even exist. I guess it probably doesnt exist - is it just rare or something that Metallica devised themselves? Do yo know of any other songs that use the same sort of tuning?

@joshua4846 Check out the Ride The Lightning Demos. They are all in that tuning. And yeah, most of the ppl dont know it, and they play FWTBT in standard tuning.

I can already play Enter Sandman, Fade To Black, Seek and Destroy, for whom the bell tolls, and most of the Unforgiven I. Jump in the fire sounds fairly easy, will learn to play that, but do u have any other reccommendations?

dude your playing the beginning way to fast, it noticeably slower than what your doing, (you can also play the riff and the bass line that cliff plays on one guitar), the chugging section, nice job, (where's kirk's part? haha) basically work on accuracy and counting, and you will have the song down really good, your timing is a little off in the beginning and the end which is easy to fix by tapping the rhythm with your foot or whatever. overall good job
