damn this is a pretty old game and there's 163,977 views its such a awesome but when i was younger i always hated the water level but i beat it anyway >v< the credit music always made me cry :').
Watching this I felt a huge wave of nostalgia and I started to tear up, I'll never forge the classics, they have a special place in my heart, and I will always love them, now and forever.
Man 3:21 to 3:33 is just so nostalgic/sad/and happy at the same time. Truly a masterpiece of my childhood.
Its sad beacause the book closeing and the sad tune makes you relize everyone has to grow up sometime. But then it makes you happy because you will never forget the great dreams you had as a child.
This was a wonderful game from my childhood. I missed it so and it clearly has aged very well.
Honestly is it wrong for me to say I loved this game more than Mario 64? Of course not! Darn shame I couldn't have anything as wonderful as this on the Gamecube...
Funny how after 13 years after this game came out, we're still crying over how beautiful this is. It's so simple and innocent, but so heartbreaking too. I miss those days.
Now a days we have little children (8-11) year olds playing Call of Duty. What happened to the times of these great games that would never be forgotten?
@IYoshis7 Hey :P Im 11 and all i can say: Call of Duty and new games sucks, The N64 for the wins! The other day, the little brother of my friends, 8 years old was playing call of duty and i say to he: Check my games! The name of this game is Banjo-kazooie and it is a very fun game and he saids : My games is better...... :'(
@IYoshis7 That's true man, I'm 24yo, my cousins grown playing Sonic Adventure 2 and other games from the 128bits generation, it's so sad for me that kids nowadays doesn't have funny innocent games like that to play. So little got initiatives of presenting such games to them or even create things like that for them.
Just FYI: on the last page (with the Yoshis dancing around the Super Happy Tree), the text changes depending on your total score. I think it says something different every 10,000 points.
I'm a 14 year old girl. This was one of the first games I ever got to see the ending to. I'm sitting here at my computer desk like a blubbering, insolent fool. I want to go back to those days... I can't freaking stop crying! I can't imagine how much this will make me cry ten years down the road...
i always loved yoshi games when i was a kid and now i am 11 years old and i still love and when i get old i will go on the computer and and look at this entirly because i loved yoshi hen iwas a girl and those people who hate yoshi will be punisthed
I always thought they were saying: "The end of..." as in the end of the book; the story over.
Looking back on games like this makes me remember what I had forgotten. Why I love games so much and the impact they can have in your life.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy WoW, CoD, SC2, plus the new Zeldas, DKs or Marios and lots of other games a lot nowadays, it's just, they don't make games like these anymore.
@Yuguernot Sometimes you just can't beat the classics my friend. And Yoshi's Story is a great classic. While some of the new games like COD Black Ops and Pokemon Black & White are fun, sometimes you just need to go back to your gaming roots and relive the fun that you have with your old favorites. Old games like Yoshi's Story here are timeless for many of us, and will always have a special place in our hearts.
Everytime I hear this song, I break out in tears. This song is just filled with memories.
I remember always crying as a kid every time I beat the game. I got so happy! But the credits would roll in and id suddenly be tearing up and smiling like an idiot XD
Great childhood game, wonderful ending, beautiful ending song <3 Love it love it love it!
I literally cried when I beat this game as a child, multiple times too. The songs were just so beautiful to me back then, and the adorable yoshi's were just...so...darn...happy.
im 17 years old. this was my first n64 game. For some reason I decided to break out my N64 yesterday and playthrough the game. It was pretty fun, and I beat the game after a while. As the ending rolled, I felt a weird feeling inside me....
When the "happy end" part came up...for some reason...i just couldnt stop myself from crying.
I remember one time when I was little I played this game, lost it, never beat it....
Then, I got on my Wii and beat it. When I heard this song at 3:38: 3 SECONDS IN and I just FROZE! That song hit me HARD! I didn't cry or anything, but that song impacted me so hard I remembered it for a long time. Hearing this song always makes me respect the old games.
thumbs up if you HATE the people commenting on this saying they thought the Yoshis were saying "the asshole" or whatever other stupid shit.
this is a childhood game/memory and even though the yoshis are just "chanting" its fun to say what we think they are saying, but saying stupid shit like THEY ARE SAYING U ASSHOLE is just stupid and wrong and fucked up. kids these days -_-
@dingo11399 Dude we were kids when we played this game. I used to think it was funny as an 11 year old that they were saying "you asshole". Of course they weren't saying it but you gotta have fun with it, its a happy song!~
my first game... so many memories... i play mw2 now and its a very good game but... men just listen to this makes me feel like im forgeting what the real games used to be... (sorry bad grammar)
My younger sister played this game a lot when we were younger, and we both agreed that the Yoshis sing "BE THANKFUL".
... I find it so funny what others think they're saying, lol. It's a beautiful ending to a wonderful game, which I don't find childish at all. I'm 22 and I absolutely LOVE this game! :)
Am I the only who doesn't get why the music at the ending credits sound so damn sad? When the previous song was happy after Yoshi completed their main objective?
Enough with the fucking ASSHOLE comments! I have had it up to here with all sorts of people whot keep thinking that they heard something that was unintentionally sounded wrong. And I keep seeing these comments on this page, ruining this beautiful video. From now on if anyone thinks they heard something of that nature, keep it to yourself and stop ruining our childhood memories. PLEASE!!
@daj141649 - You think that you can't have good childhood memories anymore because it is 2010? You are probably some 9 year old who grew up with Halo and Cod and all of those games that simply can't compare to these old, great games. The current younger generation will never be able to feel nostalgia the way we do, I feel sorry for you guys.
i have a 64 and i so want this game i live in queens in this mall thats close to me i saw this game for 29.99 hmmmm i wonder if i can get iht cause this game from what i heard is fun

Um... I made a lets play of this game, and all that's left is to put up the ending. My camera does NOT have enough memory to film the entire ending. Can I put a link to this video as an alternate? I'll give you credit and subscribe.
I'm glad that a few companies can still produce games that have such a lasting affect on people. So many people will fondly recall a Nintendo game in 20 years while you'll be pressed to find one or two who found Blood Gun really deep and touching.
i still remember finishing this game when i was like 6 years old ... i just heard that and cried of joy for listening to this happy and kind of sad song again...why don't they do games like this anymore? :´(
@badboyyoshi I'm guessing that Nintendo thinks these endings are TOO sweet. After all, the storyline WAS meant for preschoolers (no offense I still love it)
@jonyjon98 This game was very easy and simple to play, but there is nothing wrong with sweet endings.Nintendo have to make more games like this and give the "special feeling" to the kids that didn't had a chance to play this amazing game.
@badboyyoshi they have story games with chapters like paper mario, why not a paper yoshi?... i think the lack of bosses that are mainly against yoshi is the reason.. theres....no......g..a.mes... like this....
@badboyyoshi : i am about 40 years old and i cry like a 6 years old child each time i watch this! :D. perhaps because my son is a great fan of the Mario series, so it allows me to retrieve my child's heart...
This was one of my first N64 games way back when I got my 1st 64 and I was a lil kid- I still have the game and system lol.
This game still steals my #1 spot for my favorite N64 game of all time. Thanks for posting this song, it really brings me back! This song still makes me want to cry when all the Yoshi's sing...just like when I first beat it and heard this song.
Claro como no olvidar este juego y pues la cancioncita me hace recordar parte d emi infancia y a veces me hace tener recuerdos nostalgicos y pues gracias por subir este video... nunca olvidare la historia de yoshi....Y_Y
@KelthuzadGuldan:of course, how i couldn't forget this game ?because of this happy song that makes me remember a big part of my childhood and sometimes make have some nostalgic recordations...for that, thank you for posting(this was KelthuzadGuldan comment translation made by bby) yoshi ftw
wow I remember the first time I beat the game I was 6 and I ran around the house laughing at 1st then I listened to the song and wanted to take a nap.
@DolphinsBAM when ever the yoshi's died when I was playing (I was still 5 or 6) I would cry.
My heart is broken with nostalgia. Smashed into a million pieces.
This is almost as bad as the ending to mother 3, but not quite.

I haven't played this game, but it looks like so much fun. c: <3 I can't quite figure out what they're saying though.
"The End, ooooh.." ? <3
Either way, Yoshis are cute ;A;

I'm glad that a few companies can still produce games that have such a lasting affect on people. So many people will fondly recall a Nintendo game in 20 years while you'll be pressed to find one or two who found Blood Gun really deep and touching.

This game showed that the N64 is capable of some impressive 2D graphics!

@badboyyoshi I'm guessing that Nintendo thinks these endings are TOO sweet. After all, the storyline WAS meant for preschoolers (no offense I still love it)
jonyjon98 1 year ago
@jonyjon98 This game was very easy and simple to play, but there is nothing wrong with sweet endings.Nintendo have to make more games like this and give the "special feeling" to the kids that didn't had a chance to play this amazing game.
badboyyoshi 1 year ago
@badboyyoshi they have story games with chapters like paper mario, why not a paper yoshi?... i think the lack of bosses that are mainly against yoshi is the reason.. theres....no......g..a.mes... like this....

@badboyyoshi : i am about 40 years old and i cry like a 6 years old child each time i watch this! :D. perhaps because my son is a great fan of the Mario series, so it allows me to retrieve my child's heart...
jetsetbob 1 year ago 2
@badboyyoshi Because kids are too stupid to get the point of a game like this.

I was thinking the same thing. Try Deadly Premonition for 360. It's about the closest thing this generation.

@badboyyoshi It's because everything changes. even games :P

This was one of my first N64 games way back when I got my 1st 64 and I was a lil kid- I still have the game and system lol.
This game still steals my #1 spot for my favorite N64 game of all time. Thanks for posting this song, it really brings me back! This song still makes me want to cry when all the Yoshi's sing...just like when I first beat it and heard this song.

wow I remember the first time I beat the game I was 6 and I ran around the house laughing at 1st then I listened to the song and wanted to take a nap.
@DolphinsBAM when ever the yoshi's died when I was playing (I was still 5 or 6) I would cry.
