  • My heart is broken with nostalgia. Smashed into a million pieces.

This is almost as bad as the ending to mother 3, but not quite.

  • I loved this game. The end use to make me cry lol. Brings back memories.

  • lol sounds like you assholes XD

  • I just recently played this game, and let's say that I liked it, but not as much as my bro.

  • damn this is a pretty old game and there's 163,977 views its such a awesome but when i was younger i always hated the water level but i beat it anyway >v< the credit music always made me cry :').

  • i love this game.............

  • Comment removed

  • It sounds like they are saying the asshole and it makes me lol!

  • @jthornton232 no you suck

  • @car894 hey now. thou best check thyself before thou wreck thyself.

  • I don't care who says otherwise, THIS is probably the best ending to any game in history.

  • Watching this I felt a huge wave of nostalgia and I started to tear up, I'll never forge the classics, they have a special place in my heart, and I will always love them, now and forever.

  • Man 3:21 to 3:33 is just so nostalgic/sad/and happy at the same time. Truly a masterpiece of my childhood.

Its sad beacause the book closeing and the sad tune makes you relize everyone has to grow up sometime. But then it makes you happy because you will never forget the great dreams you had as a child.

  • god so nostalgic. I played this game when i was 3. I still love the be haaaaapy singing the yoshi's do. Truly brings back a lot of memories.

  • sounds like there saying it's back home.

  • This was a wonderful game from my childhood. I missed it so and it clearly has aged very well.

Honestly is it wrong for me to say I loved this game more than Mario 64? Of course not! Darn shame I couldn't have anything as wonderful as this on the Gamecube...

  • this made me cry TT^TT the memories of my childhood are thoughts I will never forget for the rest of my life

  • I swear i cried at this ending of this game. My eyes are watering as i type

  • @darksnommis

you´re not the only one! Me, too. We have to accept that there´s no way of recalling those times...

  • Funny how after 13 years after this game came out, we're still crying over how beautiful this is. It's so simple and innocent, but so heartbreaking too. I miss those days.

  • Now a days we have little children (8-11) year olds playing Call of Duty. What happened to the times of these great games that would never be forgotten?

  • @IYoshis7 i dont know man....i just dont know....

  • @IYoshis7 Hey :P Im 11 and all i can say: Call of Duty and new games sucks, The N64 for the wins! The other day, the little brother of my friends, 8 years old was playing call of duty and i say to he: Check my games! The name of this game is Banjo-kazooie and it is a very fun game and he saids : My games is better...... :'(

  • @IYoshis7 That's true man, I'm 24yo, my cousins grown playing Sonic Adventure 2 and other games from the 128bits generation, it's so sad for me that kids nowadays doesn't have funny innocent games like that to play. So little got initiatives of presenting such games to them or even create things like that for them.

  • THE ENDING IS SO CUTE. I WANT TO CRY.

  • The memories....!!!! My favorite game when I was a kid, it was short and sweet with memorable music, I shall never forget. <3333 (Q_____Q)!!!!!

  • sounds like animal crossing

  • @TheFlyingAtheist No. In any case, Animal Crossing sounds like Yoshi's Story >:)

  • I <3 the ending!!

  • Watching this after like 12 years made me cry so much, the memories and my life during my childhood <3.

  • @IRTehPhantomz Same here :')

  • Just FYI: on the last page (with the Yoshis dancing around the Super Happy Tree), the text changes depending on your total score. I think it says something different every 10,000 points.

  • I used to think they were singing 'Nintendo' xD But.. yoshi-ish. Such a memorable game <3

  • I'm a 14 year old girl. This was one of the first games I ever got to see the ending to. I'm sitting here at my computer desk like a blubbering, insolent fool. I want to go back to those days... I can't freaking stop crying! I can't imagine how much this will make me cry ten years down the road...

  • This game always made me cry because this was the greatest story ever invented. :)

  • This game brought tears to my eyes. I will never forget Yoshi's Story. I want to go back to 1998 again. One of the best years of my life period.

  • This song feels even more special to me when I'm wearing my Yoshi shirt.

  • i always loved yoshi games when i was a kid and now i am 11 years old and i still love and when i get old i will go on the computer and and look at this entirly because i loved yoshi hen iwas a girl and those people who hate yoshi will be punisthed

  • asshole... that is all

  • @shadowblaze740 I USED TO SAY THE SAME THING

  • sad song

  • I always thought they were saying: "The end of..." as in the end of the book; the story over.

Looking back on games like this makes me remember what I had forgotten. Why I love games so much and the impact they can have in your life.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy WoW, CoD, SC2, plus the new Zeldas, DKs or Marios and lots of other games a lot nowadays, it's just, they don't make games like these anymore.

  • @Yuguernot Sometimes you just can't beat the classics my friend. And Yoshi's Story is a great classic. While some of the new games like COD Black Ops and Pokemon Black & White are fun, sometimes you just need to go back to your gaming roots and relive the fun that you have with your old favorites. Old games like Yoshi's Story here are timeless for many of us, and will always have a special place in our hearts.

  • @themightyserperior You couldn't have said it any better.

  • During my last minutes I want to listen this music while all my life pass in my mind

  • 11 people disliked this will get extremely unfair punishment and go to hell.

  • too sad

  • Everytime I hear this song, I break out in tears. This song is just filled with memories.

I remember always crying as a kid every time I beat the game. I got so happy! But the credits would roll in and id suddenly be tearing up and smiling like an idiot XD

Great childhood game, wonderful ending, beautiful ending song <3 Love it love it love it!

  • 11 people couldn't find 30 fruit in level 1

  • 1:13 - this game should made for the 3DS! becasue of this part, the shy guys would pop ot of the screen!

  • The ass hole! lolz!!!!!!

  • I'm npt going to lie:

I literally cried when I beat this game as a child, multiple times too. The songs were just so beautiful to me back then, and the adorable yoshi's were just...so...darn...happy.

    Memories....oh the memories...

  • im 17 years old. this was my first n64 game. For some reason I decided to break out my N64 yesterday and playthrough the game. It was pretty fun, and I beat the game after a while. As the ending rolled, I felt a weird feeling inside me....

When the "happy end" part came up...for some reason...i just couldnt stop myself from crying.

  • Even though I didn't know what the hell the Yoshi's were singing I still love that song

  • 90's Gaming is Fucking Legendary Compared to all the shit we have today Like

    Call of Duty and Bioshock

  • I remember one time when I was little I played this game, lost it, never beat it....

Then, I got on my Wii and beat it. When I heard this song at 3:38: 3 SECONDS IN and I just FROZE! That song hit me HARD! I didn't cry or anything, but that song impacted me so hard I remembered it for a long time. Hearing this song always makes me respect the old games.

  • for some reason I always cried at this song T_T

  • THE 345 FROM TATIROSY345 IS WONDERING WHY THE FK PPL THUMBED THIS DOWN!!!!!

  • i cried too

  • I cried.

  • Gonna replay this on VC to show my kids the awesomeness that is Yoshi Story! miss this game!

  • cool vids

  • sad, sad everywhere.

  • for me, the "music-box" song sounds like someone's life is ending... very haunting...

  • true mens plays yoshi story

  • Oh god, here the come the tears!

  • Daft punk's emotion sounds just like it!

  • :')

  • I hear this song,i remember the good days :')

  • :') That's my face when I hear this song <3

  • this is the only thing that can bring a tear to chuck norris' eye

  • @breloom657 damn youre right :'D

  • 11 people never beat this game

  • 3:21 - 3:33 My favorite/least favorite part. It gets me every time

  • trillian is popping up? oh you're right. didnt notice, was busy reading :P

    trillian rulez XD

im in love with those cute yoshis <3 they cant sing but even that sounds cute :D

...i still dont get what they're singing xD the eeehh-ooh....?

    nostalgia sucks...damn

  • thumbs up if you HATE the people commenting on this saying they thought the Yoshis were saying "the asshole" or whatever other stupid shit.

this is a childhood game/memory and even though the yoshis are just "chanting" its fun to say what we think they are saying, but saying stupid shit like THEY ARE SAYING U ASSHOLE is just stupid and wrong and fucked up. kids these days -_-

  • @dingo11399 Dude we were kids when we played this game. I used to think it was funny as an 11 year old that they were saying "you asshole". Of course they weren't saying it but you gotta have fun with it, its a happy song!~

  • This is such a nostalgic song for me! Thanks so much for uploading! ^_^

  • I always thought they were saying BE HAPPY! Which makes since because the yoshi's were on a quest to get the HAPPY tree.

  • my first game... so many memories... i play mw2 now and its a very good game but... men just listen to this makes me feel like im forgeting what the real games used to be... (sorry bad grammar)

  • My younger sister played this game a lot when we were younger, and we both agreed that the Yoshis sing "BE THANKFUL".

... I find it so funny what others think they're saying, lol. It's a beautiful ending to a wonderful game, which I don't find childish at all. I'm 22 and I absolutely LOVE this game! :)

  • Am I the only who doesn't get why the music at the ending credits sound so damn sad? When the previous song was happy after Yoshi completed their main objective?

  • @nintendoboy17

its happy in a sad tone, you know?

its so happy, that it makes you wanna cry tears of joy

  • whoever didnt lika this video was never a child. fuck man...,this song makes me cry...=']

  • When It Started To To The "He Hay Haaaaaaaah" i started to hear Nintendoooo

  • when I was younger I cried every time I listened to this song... :')

  • Comment removed

  • Good time...good times... i loved this game so much...

  • when i was little, i thought the yoshi's were says you asshole

  • @daj141649 Seriously?!

Enough with the fucking ASSHOLE comments! I have had it up to here with all sorts of people whot keep thinking that they heard something that was unintentionally sounded wrong. And I keep seeing these comments on this page, ruining this beautiful video. From now on if anyone thinks they heard something of that nature, keep it to yourself and stop ruining our childhood memories. PLEASE!!

  • @OniLordMiki if you live in 2010 all your childhood memories are ruined, end of story, im sorry but its the truth

  • @daj141649 - You think that you can't have good childhood memories anymore because it is 2010? You are probably some 9 year old who grew up with Halo and Cod and all of those games that simply can't compare to these old, great games. The current younger generation will never be able to feel nostalgia the way we do, I feel sorry for you guys.

  • @PD4FR sorry i hate both cod and halo and i grew up in the 90's im sorry i offended you and the other person

  • ..its..so happy....like a tearful happy. I can't even explain it.

  • yo de pequeño pensaba que cantaban "Nintendo" :P

  • man some one got to make a sprite movie of this!

  • 素敵なエンディングですね

    とても懐かしいです

    子供の頃はなんか怖くて見れなかったんだよな…

  • when i was a kid and i heard this, i thought they'd be singing "All we are is Dust in the wind". But instead, we hear yoshis chanting, "You asshole"

  • 3:34 and on is just... the most sad and sweet ending music ever. Like closing the storybook on childhood-everyone has to grow up some day...

  • lava castle in this game...torture

and bowser only gets harder in the boo and lava castles

    the credits are kickass epic

even if there are like this

  • Good graphics for this game

  • i unlocked every level and got the black and white yoshi... easy, but oh so fun!

  • the asshole!!!!

  • The eeeeeeeecho. the eeeeeeeeecho

  • This was the first n64 game i have ever played the credits all ways made me cry knowing i'm done with my favrite game

  • This song will be playing in my head when I graduate high school next week. I can already feel the tears of joy coming up... :) *sniff*

  • This music makes me shed tears because it reminds me of so many great memories. :.)

  • aaa q hermosa cancion; recuerdo q cuando termine el juego y escuche a los joshis cantando...me senti muy triste y melancolico buaaaa :( i.eeee-ooo - i-ee-ooo i-ee-ooo 1:40

  • This makes me shed a tear at the memory of my younger days.

My aunt had to help me beat the bosses when i was 3/4 lol.

    I still play this today

  • This song is good for the last day of school.

  • @yoshidude987 Today was my graduation from High School to university, and I had this in my mind.....

  • Um... I made a lets play of this game, and all that's left is to put up the ending. My camera does NOT have enough memory to film the entire ending. Can I put a link to this video as an alternate? I'll give you credit and subscribe.

  • ''and the yoshis lived happily ever after''

i'm 24 =( and i cry! i feel stupid but happy cuz the yoshis still fine!

  • Kazumi Totaka is an awesome sound programmer!

  • omg this is so sweet :')

  • When I was 4 I cried when I listened to theis song, both has that happy & sad tune to it.

    I love the N64

  • I haven't played this game, but it looks like so much fun. c: <3 I can't quite figure out what they're saying though.

    "The End, ooooh.." ? <3

    Either way, Yoshis are cute ;A;

  • I'm glad that a few companies can still produce games that have such a lasting affect on people. So many people will fondly recall a Nintendo game in 20 years while you'll be pressed to find one or two who found Blood Gun really deep and touching.

  • This game showed that the N64 is capable of some impressive 2D graphics!

  • @Legion2000 you got that right! Most underrated system ever!

  • "And the yoshis Live Happy For Ever..."

  • they say: "ninteendooooo... ninteeendoooo..."

  • I think it sounds like They Asshole!

  • Ahhhhh nostalgia....I have this game even now. I might pop it in for a trip through time.

  • i love this game, and still have the game for N64.

this the happy ending for yoshis n.n

  • one of my favorite games in my favorite console (N64)

miss old times, my childhood :')

  • this song is really sad and were did the yoshi go after the game.

  • this song is really great and really sad i miss playing this game

  • N64. I miss you, and your lovely music.

best console ever, just because it holds so many ties to my heart.

  • You know, I always played this game as a kid, but I never realized that it was made look like a book!

  • best part 1:52

  • i almost cried xD

  • it sounds like they say "The End LOL".

  • I always thought they say "Nintendo"

  • I dont think anyone knows what they say...

  • dude they're saying "you asshole" :P

  • its just so sad music (:

  • i still remember finishing this game when i was like 6 years old ... i just heard that and cried of joy for listening to this happy and kind of sad song again...why don't they do games like this anymore? :´(

  • @badboyyoshi I'm guessing that Nintendo thinks these endings are TOO sweet. After all, the storyline WAS meant for preschoolers (no offense I still love it)

  • @jonyjon98 This game was very easy and simple to play, but there is nothing wrong with sweet endings.Nintendo have to make more games like this and give the "special feeling" to the kids that didn't had a chance to play this amazing game.

  • @badboyyoshi they have story games with chapters like paper mario, why not a paper yoshi?... i think the lack of bosses that are mainly against yoshi is the reason.. theres....no......g..a.mes... like this....

  • I know right!!

  • Comment removed

  • @badboyyoshi Because kids are too stupid to get the point of a game like this.

  • @badboyyoshi

I was thinking the same thing. Try Deadly Premonition for 360. It's about the closest thing this generation.

  • @badboyyoshi It's because everything changes. even games :P

  • This was one of my first N64 games way back when I got my 1st 64 and I was a lil kid- I still have the game and system lol.

This game still steals my #1 spot for my favorite N64 game of all time. Thanks for posting this song, it really brings me back! This song still makes me want to cry when all the Yoshi's sing...just like when I first beat it and heard this song.

  • Claro como no olvidar este juego y pues la cancioncita me hace recordar parte d emi infancia y a veces me hace tener recuerdos nostalgicos y pues gracias por subir este video... nunca olvidare la historia de yoshi....Y_Y

  • @KelthuzadGuldan:of course, how i couldn't forget this game ?because of this happy song that makes me remember a big part of my childhood and sometimes make have some nostalgic recordations...for that, thank you for posting(this was KelthuzadGuldan comment translation made by bby) yoshi ftw

  • Out of all the credits themes I've heard, this one was the most phenominal. =)

  • The egg hole?

  • Is true that you can get a purple yoshi in this game???

  • Can unlock only black and white yoshis IIRC

  • wow I remember the first time I beat the game I was 6 and I ran around the house laughing at 1st then I listened to the song and wanted to take a nap.

@DolphinsBAM when ever the yoshi's died when I was playing (I was still 5 or 6) I would cry.

  • when i used to die i would shut the game off because i was afraid of the castle

  • Comment removed

  • This song made me want to play the guitar... and I would like to play it too.

  • This song made me cry back in my youth when I finished the game!
