well, despite were JG was born - his music is great; this is not a Facebook page were you identify people and assign them to some category, this is about art, music, fun, pleasure and sensations so - even if JG was Greek - let's listen to his performance...
@lebiecki78 - you are right about Garbarek. He is Norwegian but his father was Polish :) Regarding Chopin he was never French. He died in France but born In Poland
As a Norwegian, this makes me immensely proud. Particularly because I know that this music is universal, and can be understood and appreciated by every being on this planet.
This music simply conjures up a feeling of time: it's about bloody time people started thinking about their time on earth and what they are doing with it.
@NDE1988 great holistic bands are---gong, mother gong, magma, aphrodities child, jade warrior, eat static, system 7, lisa gerrard, dead can dance, melting euphoria, ozric tentacles, larry coryell, bill laswell, stomu yamashta, kazumi watanabe, oregon, jon anderson and kitaro, sphongle, steve tibbetts, steve hillage, steffi sharpstrings, toninho horta, egberto gismonti, patrick bernard, lost at last, flora purim.
I've been listening to Jan Garaberek for over 20 years now. Even saw him perform live with Eberhard Weber an amazing bass player. What I find real sad is that this song has only 30,000 hits and ONLY 17 comments whereas, someone pulling down their pants and farting Happy Birthday would get 5 million hits. The young people out there don't have a clue as yo the wealth of incredibly creative music that lies out there and that hip hop and rap isn't the be all and end all of music.
hey... i'm a 'young people'... and you know what? I love this music. i love music. i totally agree with you; nowadays people do not know what are the real values of life. This is one of them.
Haven't you heard? There are very few really perceptive humans on the planet and the rest are merely Soylent Green. Seek who you feel mutual perception with.
WOW...it's amazing what music can do to you;-)...a shame so many folks use to think of chaotic and arrhythmic music when it comes to jazz...hey doesn't it sound quite similar to "steps ahead"?
Gliding on invisible air currents, she looks for her lover, where did he go? How could they have missed each others smiles? The view up in heaven must be great, in order to see so clearly...
The Spearmint and peppermint tea is steeping..We're spinning around, whirling... Our eyes met as we danced on the clouds of our youth, so fast, then just as quickly, it stopped... gone...silent...Where did she go?
Did I get lost? Could she be waiting? I'm all alone now...The night fall has come, still..
wanting... needing...hoping...praying...
It's getting darker, Am I going to sleep tonight? Yearning to be forgiven, for what I thought was forever...
The flow of emotion, a result of this powerful music, listening to your own thoughts, as you allow the notes to shower over and through you, oneness, truth, music....alive!
