I think the height of the bridge was only 75 feet tall if you do some basic math. Basic free fall speed is 9.8 meters per second. He was in the air a total of 2.353 seconds before touching the water (give or take .1 for utube lag). 9.8*2.353=23.06 meters, or about 75 feet. Still a big jump. A 10 foot exaggeration isn't that big of a deal.

@csczdust 9.8seconds refers to the acceleration due to gravity. he is not falling at a constant 9.8m/s the whole way down. after the first second he would be falling at 9.8, and after the second he would be falling at 19.6m/s. take a bit for wind resistance. there is a formula for working this out but I cant remember it atm.

This was easily 85 feet. They probably got the dimensions of the bridge from the town hall, or they measured it. Neglecting air resistance, an object dropped from a rest would take 2.3 seconds to fall 85 feet. Add air resistance, and your talking unmeasurable fractions of a second until about 5-6 seconds of falling (terminal velocity). I also timed it, and it came pretty close to 2.3 seconds-no one's reflexes are perfect. Bottom line is, this was for sure 85 feet.

At this hight if you keep pointed feet and your arms tucked in, and as long as you hit the water straight, without leaning back or to the sides, it doesnt hurt. If you do any of the above improperly, it can be a painful experience. In this case, my brother was unharmed, we do this kind of shit alot.
