actually Edith Piaf sang the original French version of the song. The English version was made popular by Louis Armstrong

The lyrics of the song La vie en rose is of Edith Piaf and the melody is of Louis Gugliemi (Wikipedia, imdb and others website). Its the song of Piaf more remembered in the WORLD and What wonderful world is the associated song more to the Lois Amstrong (Cyndi Lauper recorded La vie en rose in 2003). Therefore its not to cover of Lois Amstrong, but a new interpretation of Mikey Wax.
