@snowlion79 italohouse was originally what succeeded italo disco towards the end of the 80s (and later transformed into eurodisco and eurotechno). think black box, 49ers and those guys.
but you can argue that today's house music that is inspired by the nu italo wave and is very similar to french touch house is a form of italo house. like some lebatman tracks, flashworx , some of the housier valerie stuff and things like that.
I'd say "french" house is more towards filter and disco house.
