  • Anyone ever figure out what this song actually means?

  • @VonSutho Wanna know the same thing...

  • Nice work!

  • @tidepoolbay Thank you,great song

  • It is so mysterious that how the eastern doctors know where Jesus is about to born and presenting him their 3 gifts which representing all his life and value? By just observing the star? ? How they travel there?

  • One of the 1st song of the Church I listened to (together with Night of Light and Tantalized..which tantalized and mesmerized me). I love them since then, mid 80's, with the very same sensations, love and appreciation

  • @reliabilityinmind Yeah the 80s were one of the best decades to be in.

  • So good to hear this song again. Memories of driving along the deserted Australian coastline at sunset. Thanks for posting. :-)

  • Ohh YEAH!

  • A nice song and nice visuals.

  • Thanks for the work in getting this video done.

Just bought the re-release of Heyday and had this wonderful song on heavy rotation.

I thought When you were Mine was magic but this is a different level again

    Cheers

    Scott

  • Thanks a lot karanaman

  • @karanaman68

Good to see so many people that love The Church and this brilliant song.

Peace and compliments of the season

  • Yes a great band, merry xmas to you too karanaman

  • I guess they never made an official vid for this but this might as well be it. I enjoyed the visuals so much. Amazing how my thirst for new music takes me back 24 yrs in time to rediscover a unique, timeless sound. Congrats :)

  • @PuckerUp69 Thanks puckerup, yes unfortunately no vid was made for this song but glad you liked my little effort, its a great album with stunning lyrics, cheers, steve

  • @SUNSHINEandSPIRIT

I remember buying Of Skins & Heart, The Blurred Crusade & the Seance ep on vinyl when I was a young teen & adored all 3. Don't know why but I missed the rest and I've got a lot of buying to do here. I noticed Starfish is not available on itunes yet Heyday is. I prefer to find them all on cd though for the lyrics sleeve. Yes, the lyrics are mystical and cryptic, coupled with their superior musicianship it is listening bliss. I'll have to look at your other vids too. :)

  • you are so awesome thanx dude:)

  • @erodgenator glad you enjoyed it man

  • Does anybody know what this lyric means? "Privilege on privilege

    An unwanted discovery"

  • @TenderCrusade ,Its a long time ago, but, i seem to remember it was cabalistic, 2 ways to enlightenment, as the fool or as the sorcerer (knowledge) , the fool doesn't have the mental disipline and is doomed to insanity, hence unwanted discovery, also known as a premature kundalini arousal, hope that helps.

  • @joffisgar Thanks a lot for that info.

  • Wow, thank you for uploading this. I love the way you translate The Church's music in your videos. Just subscribed. Peace. Jeffriana

  • Thank you very much TenderCrusade, appreciate your nice comment, great song

  • Beautiful... Love it. Thanks for the post! :)

  • Thanks Jaialai55,glad you enjoyed it

  • They, along with the replacemants, rem and husker du (plus fab 5 freddy and DMC) made the 80's not suck too bad. I feel sorry for most of my generation that only got Madonna, Rick Astley and all that MTV crap.

  • @mrfiggins

the cure, clan of xymox, echo & the bunnymen, the church themselves, the clash, siouxsie & the banshees, the chameleons, bauhaus, flock of seagulls, the stranglers, the essence, joy divsion, love and rockets, the talking heads & so on ...

the 80's sucked..? i'd give up anything to have lived those golden years

today sucks ass, & the 90's seemed more like shit to me to.

  • I love the images you've been using with most of these Church songs.
