Hi, what netbook are you using. I see your resolution is really small (640x480) the smallest netbook i know and own is the Asus EEE 7" with a resolution of 800x480. Please reply and tell me what netbook you are using.

still if its not filmed at 1280x720 it takes more to to upscale the video to 1280x720 time that dose not need to be wasted

gnu/linux oses should make their own "dock"
a virtual keyboard that pops from the bottom when u press super key..when u hover over a launcher it zooms in , etc.

cairo+compiz+opengl=not a realy good combo
cairo-dock should have 2 launchers.
use the one without opengl rendering if you have that black background.
