They need to bring out a quality Hajime no Ippo game for a next-gen console. With all the moves and styles. At the minute a freakin' mugen game that is still in production is the best Hajime game I've seen.

u cant really block. ur in a defensive position if u dont move and u can dodge and use ur feet. if u do a left jap u can still block attacks coming at ur righ side if ur using peekaboo style.

thats pretty annoying. the boxers in the anime blocked quite a lot. sometimes they would block for a while and breaking the blocks was a cool thing in the anime

theres a ton of things u cant do in the game. like clinching which will probably make some of the characters super stong. The fact that you cant react fast enough to do it makes it impossible to do head slips, and actual sideway dodging. but there ARE a lot of little things in the game that actually follow the manga. (by the way read that its awesome).

Like how kimura can only use his special punch if u make it so the opponent start blocking only his stomach. And Aoiki can use his "look away" technique and land a super effective frog punch. And theres much more little things in there that makes up for the fact you cant clinch and defend. ( which in my opinion is actually too much to remember during battle.)

Point of interest, there is a vid on tube that has Ali racking out about 11 punches in a combo in about 3 seconds. All fairly heavy and the last being a knock down punch to top it off. Thats nearly 4 punches a second. It was against London in '66.

Are you joking? They are extremely slow after rushes! Keep in mind too that these are featherweights, and a good deal faster than the heavyweights that America is obsessed with a lot. As a Bantamweight boxer, I definitely can punch at the least that fast. Try training your eyes more, this game isn't slow like Fight Night is.

It's just the stage dude, I have this game, and this is the Pro-test Version of Korakuen Hall (which basically means that there is no people absent) Cause there are stages with people in the background, so don't get your panties in a bunch dude, it's a great game. :)
