@cuteblanca It's more than just beautiful ... That kind of beauty just defies time ... such beauty can defeat anything and just make it melt and fade into the ether ... into complete oblivion where you experience nothing but true happiness ... and some nostalgia .. memories of the past of a place you love but you've never been to ... of a memory you remember but have never experienced.. such beauty is capable of defying anything.. Sadly all humane words can do is demean it :( lol.
@91FroSt91 Beatifully put my friend! You did not know it but you are a beautiful poet:) Your words are amazing! When i hear music like this is like I am transported into a different world! To bad I have to come back to reality:(
@cuteblanca Yah that's the worst thing about experiencing true ecstasy I'm afraid ... is that you'll always have to come back to reality down to earth at one point ... which would suck after leaving all this mess behind and just floating freely in your own heaven.. ahh lol ... and I'm no poet ... it's just music like this that's capable of making any man speak their own mind freely with no restrictions what so ever... I just wish I was alive at that era tbh lol .. more than anything XD
@sandrobassi Sinffield was the primary poet /songwriter for early King Crimson. The musicians performing on this song (album) list as a who's who of Crimson incarnations.
In dec.of 1994, Greg Lake performed a great 3 song set at the Hard Rock Cafe in Wash.DC.There were 3 other musicians backing him as he picked and strummed his beautiful 6 string through "luckyman" "father christmas"and "daddy" (a very haunting song). This performance was to benefit a childrens charity foundation.Afterwards, met him and his (amazingly beautiful)17yrold daughter.Specifically complemented him for his contribution on "Still".I was in heaven....Still am.
@hubiex ... Title song "Still" was worth the entire price of the Japanese DVD rerelease I picked up a few years ago... You Sir (or Lady) were a "Lucky Man" (Woman) to have attended such a fine show... Thank you for expressing to him what would have been my very words !
I've missed this so much! 'Still' was one of the first albums I ever bought, and I never saw it again after I lent to someone. Just ordered 'Stillusion', (Yay!) but I found this so can listen to it while I wait for that to arrive. Thank you so much for posting it.
