  • I just fell in love! He is so real. I like the casual entrance in such a stuffy, straight-laced setting. He is accessible as a human being and seems like a down-to-earth person under that penguin suit. I could get lost in that voice and those eyes for hours.

  • He rocks!

  • ez valami réémes....nincs sok köze a mozarti stílushoz!!!

  • I'm actually okay with the soft dynamics. This is, after all, a serenade. I just don't like how his dynamic changes are so sudden and....pounding. It doesn't make sense with the text.

  • Yeah he didn't sing it all too well this time... too relaxed. But hey, he's not in an opera house.

I heard him sing Giovanni at the Met last season and he did a pretty damn good job. Especially with this.

He plays the part well, too. This is how I imagine Giovanni - a boy who didn't grow up.

  • he is nowhere in comparision to Siepi, who was the best Don even better than Pinza

  • Er konnte bestimmt gar nichts vom Orchester hören!!

Schreckliche Idee was in der Staatskapelle zu singen!! Der Toreador Song war ebenso einfach miserabel.

  • Gorgeous!

  • Sometimes I can't hear him at all!! I prefer Keenlyside in this part! Schrott is gorgeous (nobody can deny it) but he knows it too much. Keenlyside is just sexy

  • He is full of himself, no passion in his voice for this song. Hands in pocket is okay for the part. He just doesn't have it. Sorry.

  • don giovanni was cocky, he just want to get all the girls without doing much for it. Thats y his hands are in his pockets, to show his noncalance. He has loads of passion in his voice by using the dynamics v gd. But ok everybody his opinion ;)

  • Yes! Why so many "pianos". He was playing stupid there I think. He can do much better.

  • He was totally out of tempo at the beginning ("deh vieni").

    Too many pianissimos.

  • yes, i agree!

plus... it is rude to sing with the hands in the pocket

  • This is the worst performance of this aria I have ever heard - AND seen. He looks like an arrogant, ignorant parvenu. He fits with Anna Netrebko.

  • While I understand that it's an interpretative effect, I dislike his constant dips into ppp.

  • wow, he is gorgeus!

  • That, I think, is his main asset...he seems to only approximate pitches much of the time.
