I believe Aragorn felt this way since no body was produced. As evil as sauron was, he would have loved to show the dead hobbit body to all, exposing their plan. No body = lie!

In Mordor he can inspire greatness with words and put his power to bear best. But in person he is weakened. His power is great but he once wielded power to match the full race of the elves in all it's greatest glory. With the ring he gains indisputable dominance of weak and mortal man and all is lost.
Another example of Jackson making Gandalf look weak. In the books, Gandalf calls out to speak to the Dark lord. Gandalf is the one who converses with the Mouth of Sauron and in the end shows his strength by outright rejecting the terms of surrender and taking back Frodo's items. There is no doubt, fear or sadness in his face like here.

In my opinion the extended versions of Fellowship and Towers were great but for me deleted scenes like this which were added back into Return didnt make much sense personally I prefer the theatrical version of Return of the King to the extended edition but thats just me but this scene is still fairly enjoyable

Probably gonna get many thumbs down for saying this, but I actually liked the non-extended version of LOTR more than the extended. The non-extended, in my opinion, felt more... natural, and a good compromise. The extended was a bit too extreme, but then again, that's just what I think.

Aragorn knows the Mouth of Sauron is lying for two reasons.
1: The guy doesn't mention the ring, at all. If Frodo had really been caught/killed, then Sauron would have the ring again.
2: Sam is never brought up. Aragorn knows Sam went with Frodo, so he guessed the guy was lying.

Probably gonna get many thumbs down for saying this, but I actually liked the non-extended version of LOTR more than the extended. The non-extended, in my opinion, felt more... natural, and a good compromise. The extended was a bit too extreme, but then again, that's just what I think.

he had a much better role in the film's game cuz he gets off the fucking horse and you actually fight him b4 he is decapitated. only thing that sucked ballz was his voice actor and the fact that he made stupid lion growls whenever he went to swing his sword down.

@heatflash888 Tolkein did not mean for Sauron to be represented as an eye. He hinted at this enough in his letters, and was clearer in the books. It seems more of a misinterpretation of Jackson than a choice.

@FeanorDae but this is the first time he encountered them, so how cud he hav ever had the chance 2 bring Sauron any hobbitses? il go w/ he was confused as to which hobbits were desired, kinda like Lurtz's men in FOTR when they kidnapped Merry and Pippin, but they were pretty useless in comparison to Frodo, so he was thinking maybe these were the ones Sauron meant also. only the damn Nazgul get it right who their master's lookin fehr; everyone else just grabs any random short person! :P

@sp3ciaI A) he doesnt hava body til the ring is returned to him so at the time he was stuck in his Eye form. B) then there wud be no need to send out his armies from beyond the Gate bcuz he wudda kicked all their asses himself and that wudda been an anticlimactic end to the movie, unless Aragorn somehow managed to hold him off until Frodo destroyed the Ring which wudda taken way too long before he got himself smashed by the Dark Lord's scepter. so it wudda been awsome, but kinda pointless.
