Ps vita is the best. You can get over 500 psp titles to it and it upscales the psp games to look even better! And you can use the analog stick to move!
This is going to krapas56, buy neither the graphics for the psp can be quite, well stupid; no offence to hardcore psp fans. the 3ds can is a lot better than its predesscers but all in all you should wait for the ps vita to come out. I have high expectations for it.

It really depends. Right now psp regular has a lot more games but 3DS may get more game, not sure if they'll be as hardcore though. 3DS has a lot to offer to be fair.

Xbox 360 is fucking terrible. You have to pay 60$ to play fucking multiplayer. A ps3 has exactly the same graphics maybe better and free multiplayer. Fuck you microsoft!!!

The main reason why the DS is inferior is the abilty to play emulators you can play: GB,GBC,GBA,Neo Geo,PS1,Lynx,Atari 2600,5200,7800,MAME,CPS1,2,3,Genesis/CD,SNES,NES,SMS,Sega Game Gear, DOS,UBUNTU,TG16,MSX,N64,Vectrex,C64,ZX Spectrum, Amgia (and there's atleast 10 more). And the DS can only emulate Gameboy series and can barely emulate SNES and Genesis properly. The only hand held that powerful than the psp is a VAIO UX which can emulate Dreamcast, Saturn More MAMEs and play full comp.games.

The DS only has a few good games. Most of them are for little kids. But I do enjoy when there is a good one. I just don't think a system with games that let you bath a dog can compete with a serious system like the PSP.
I have both and the PSP is WAY better. And since there are only two firmwares out that you can't hack, the PSP beats the shit out of the DS even more. You can so so much more with a PSP than a DS. And the games are better. And if you say that the games are boring then you obviously haven't played the good ones. Like Dissidia, GTA, Mortal Kombat, Gun, Kingdom Hearts. PSP wins PERIOD.
Actually DS is capable of 256mb on a game card. But the 3DS is up to 2GB which isn't bad for a portable. I assume the NGP games are going to big in size. It has near PS3 Graphics.
About the size of the cartridges of NGP/3DS... well yes, Sony left the UMB to have cartridges similar as the DS ones.
The NGP/PSP2 will have cartridges that hold from 2GB to 4GB. And the 3DS... let me guess what you're thinking "Uhm, It's Nintendo, I guess that they won't hold more than 2GB" If you think that you're way wrong, how wrong? Well... the 3DS cartridges holds from 2GB to... 8GB O.O

It has Silent Hill, which is like Alan Wake. Resistance which is like Gears of War. It has crash bandicoot games, like xbox 360, etc

Point 1. What if I don't like extremely frustrating games? I don't like shovelware, but an easier game doesn't mean it's more boring. @ultragarrison Piracy is just as prevalent on the DS. Developers didn't not want to make games for it because of pirates, it was because the DS has a much higher userbase than the PSP. And custom firmware or not, it's not that simple to march in and take away the virtual monopoly Nintendo has had on the handheld market for the past ~20 years. But Sony did better than any other competitor, so it's not like they didn't accomplish anything. ~60 million sold or whatever it was is impressive.

ds is good cause it has carts and some good games, besides that the psp wins, except the umd drive. whos idea was it anyways to have a disc format in a handheld? the psp need carts that hold like 3gb and an second stick in the psp2.

@alakingjoe I'm shure you don't know about the extremely difficult DS RPG's, just an example: Etrian Odyssey. Probably one of the hardest RPG games of all time. If you lived the whole PS2 era, you will know that the PSP is mostly remakes.

The psp is so good that most ps2 games are also released on psp with very few graphics changes and vice versa, for example: SH: shattered memories, ratchet and clank: size matter and more. And sometimes, even ps3 games like: motorstorm artic edge and little big planet. That never happened with a ds game, or else, not without major changes in both graphics and gameplay.

Second: I did check the the game ratings for both ds and psp on jeuxvideo:com (its more usefull because you can see for each console what games are rated from 1 to 20 individually.). The results, for the games rated 15-20, both consoles have about the same amount of games in those categories. But when you chek from the lower scores to the highest scores, ds games starts to appear alot sooner.
Thats the results, ds has alot more bad games than the psp, but it also has more "good" games than the psp. But the percentage of good games on the psp is higher than the ds.
@poliv67 I will give that there are alot of shovelware games on the DS but this argument "to me" is about what console has the better games. Not everyone plays those crappy shovelware games(I know I dont). I guess it just comes down tp preferences and defending an opinion. Love both DS and PSP but I'd rather be stuck on an uncharted island(if I had to) with the DS' library than the PSP's.

Hey "PSP"vampire, guess what. You're gonna have to change your username. Why. Look up "Nintendo 3DS". Get blown out of your mind at how futuristic it is. Even better? 3DS has PS2 graphics. It's 3D is not only pop-out of the system(literally at some moments in gameplay), but depth 3D at the same time. And another thing. PSP may sucseed the DS in graphics, but DS has good games and big game library, and PSP has boring hardcore and gimmics. DS/3DS owns. P.S. I betcha sony's gonna make a "PSP3D".

Point 1. What if I don't like extremely frustrating games? I don't like shovelware, but an easier game doesn't mean it's more boring. Nothing wrong with challenge, but with only 7 years game experience, I don't want to compete with those who have 20. 2. I don't say 'Mario Kart DS is good, but only if the graphics were better!' very often, or at all. 3. So instead of a touch screen and buttons, you prefer just buttons? 4. But it's almost impossible to keep a PSP in my pocket because of it.

btw about the psp, it breaks very easily and the umds always make that annoying sound u know, that scratch sound wich hurts my ears and the analog stick easily just gets fucked up i mean, a friend of mine has a psp and his analog stick is screwing around i press right for a second and the character keeps moving left and that is so annoying when the 3ds comes it will be even better graphics a better analog stick and a glassless 3D

I Sold my DS so I could bought the AWESOME PSP! Sure the DS had nice games like pokemon, EBA and FF games but i don't really like the touch screen. When i saw Final Fantasy Dissidia and MGS peace walker i wanted PSP right away. Graphic and gameplay wins both vs DS. PSP best hand-held of the next gen!

@ultragarrison Piracy is just as prevalent on the DS. Developers didn't not want to make games for it because of pirates, it was because the DS has a much higher userbase than the PSP. And custom firmware or not, it's not that simple to march in and take away the virtual monopoly Nintendo has had on the handheld market for the past ~20 years. But Sony did better than any other competitor, so it's not like they didn't accomplish anything. ~60 million sold or whatever it was is impressive.

ds is good cause it has carts and some good games, besides that the psp wins, except the umd drive. whos idea was it anyways to have a disc format in a handheld? the psp need carts that hold like 3gb and an second stick in the psp2.

@alakingjoe I'm shure you don't know about the extremely difficult DS RPG's, just an example: Etrian Odyssey. Probably one of the hardest RPG games of all time. If you lived the whole PS2 era, you will know that the PSP is mostly remakes.

I got both ds and psp, i only use ds for pokemon, psp i use star wars bf2 and flatout head on, ever since i got an itouch, i sadly dont use em much anymore, the loadtimes is what made me switch, and the accelerometer and fun games is also an upside, and price of games and graphics is decent

Both PSP and DS are great...why? the DS has a great screen,the games are entertaining,the games and the DS have great graphics,also the games in 3D look perfect.
The PSP is very fun,suitable for teenagers because they have violent games which I like,the graphics are Playstation-like ..that are awesome,the 3D graphics are the best you can find,it can connect to the internet,and the PSP has good games like Grand Theft Auto,Star Wars,Metal Gear Solid. So there's no way you can compare them

The psp is so good that most ps2 games are also released on psp with very few graphics changes and vice versa, for example: SH: shattered memories, ratchet and clank: size matter and more. And sometimes, even ps3 games like: motorstorm artic edge and little big planet. That never happened with a ds game, or else, not without major changes in both graphics and gameplay.

Theres games for everyone. Dont just take the simple casual games on the DS and throw them up against non casual games on the PSP. I play my DS more than my PSP cause the PSP lacks games.

@poliv67 Yea found 9 with an easy google search. Just because the PSP has more Mature titles doesnt make it a better console or more hardcore than the DS. Look up the scores on gamerankings of both consoles and you will see the better system. What, do you only play "M" rated titles and call yourself a "Hardcore gamer"? Have fun being a one sided gamer with limitations.

Second: I did check the the game ratings for both ds and psp on jeuxvideo:com (its more usefull because you can see for each console what games are rated from 1 to 20 individually.). The results, for the games rated 15-20, both consoles have about the same amount of games in those categories. But when you chek from the lower scores to the highest scores, ds games starts to appear alot sooner.

Thats the results, ds has alot more bad games than the psp, but it also has more "good" games than the psp. But the percentage of good games on the psp is higher than the ds.

@poliv67 I will give that there are alot of shovelware games on the DS but this argument "to me" is about what console has the better games. Not everyone plays those crappy shovelware games(I know I dont). I guess it just comes down tp preferences and defending an opinion. Love both DS and PSP but I'd rather be stuck on an uncharted island(if I had to) with the DS' library than the PSP's.
