Amazing, how simple this is ! I can solve 6x=24 Heres a little lesson from me, first divide 6 into 24 or think what times 6 is 24. 6x4=24, therefore x=4. We check the work by saying 6x4=24. Division is the key to solving problems like this.

I had the impression that we had to move the numbers from right to left and vice versa.

I was really surprised when i watched this. The way I way taught was like this.

x + 5 = 10

Here, you move the "5" to the other side. Since you move it to the other side, you have to make its plus of minus sign the opposite. For example, if it has a plus sign, it will be changed to minus and vice versa, resulting in this

x = 10 - 5

The plus sign is changed to its opposite, which is minus. So, if we calculate it, it will be....

x = 5

I didn't know why they taught me this way. Your way is better
