PS1 and PS2 were damm great consoles, and ps3, well ps3 managed to be more popular than the xbox after like 4 years? I own both consoles now and they are practically the same except some games.. In the past Sony consoles were much better than the equivalents of other companies.. Myself i am a huuuuge SEGA fan but i can see why people always liked sony better.. Have fun anyway:D

No never bought a PS3 after all , decided it would prob be shitty like the overrated PS1&2 were , its Nintendo and Microsoft all the way for me gimme HALO and ZELDA any day of the week , by the way the N64 was the most underrated consol EVER , owned one - but the odd time had a go on my mates PS1 which was nowhere near as good infact it was very inferior , N64 also had a games catalogue second to none , , I do own a PS 2 now - its a great dvd player :)

I agree N64 was underrated, i never had one, but a close friend of mine at the time had and i can tell you i loved goldeneye and a couple of other games he had.. If you have an xbox there is really no need to buy a ps3.. Yes you will miss some games but nothing is the matter.. I bought it too after the xbox and i got to play some more games and that's it

@goodkat2 I don't mean ps3 exclusives aren't good.. Most of em are (infamous, MGS 4, god of war) but some of them are overrated.. Like the two you mentioned actually.. Believe me i was like you but for example killzone is nothing special, uncharted even being stellar from a technical standpoint and having a good story, has ok gameplay and nothing more.. Resistance is a good chaotic shooter though, but then again i find that halo (its somehow the xbox's equivalent) is better. Anyway have fun!:D

@goodkat2 If you have a friend with a ps3 though you got to play the infamouns series. It's a sandbox game, absolutelly addicting with a nice comic book touch.. In other words its one of the best superhero games out there, and its also one of the best sandbox games at the same time.. God of war 3 is very very good, but there are other good action adventure games to satisfy your needs and MGS 4.. well you gotta play it too:D I guess you are not an MGS fan though so again nothing is the matter:D

Yah...hm...The limited amount of guns to carry along makes a bit more sense in non-linear shooters and more specifically in coop modes, where the team-play should be enhanced (i.e. Each player carrying a different weapon type).

it's because most shooter games try an concentrate on online play. thats why the story mode is so short. Turok is an example...The only challenges i found was the helicopter and kinda the last fight with the T-Rex

Good job reviewing it, and i'm glad you mention about the lack of begin able to hold more than two guns. I have to disagree on the bosses, they are way to easy to kill, even that giant boss was also a dissapointing. Also I think the story sucks, there's nothing really interesting about it except the ending maybe, and the characters have no personality whatsoever. Gears of War 2 made more effort to improve in everything than Resistance 2 did.
