If you guys don't like to see old cars scrapped, then make a point of lining up at dealerships to bid on the trades, scour the countryside and small town car lots for these. There are dozens of them available if you go and find them. Collect them, store them, restore them at your own cost. Don't expect us to hang onto our old cars for decades so that somebody may want to have it in 20 years time, handed to them on a silver platter. This is the land of opportunity.
I hated to watch this. I am a disabled man and regardless of what people think of it the Windstar is the perfect vehicle for me to drive because I am tall and it has a LOT of room. I don't like the electrical problems they have but heck... no vehicle is perfect. If they had to take these vehicles off the road why didn't they convert them into parts cars instead of crushing them? The only thing that cash for clunkers did for me was make my 03 Windstar worth more money if I sell it.
See the speed at which they work? Be very careful where you park if you ever go to a junkyard to pick up parts. Make sure you didn't just put your car in a row of cars to be crushed by the excavator.
@ScrapMasters That Windstar wasn't a 1991. They didn't make Windstars until 1994 (The '95 model). That one you're crushing looks like a 1995 or '96 model. As for my last comment, I knew that particular one you're crushing was no longer running. I was talking about the government's cash for clunkers program.
@Mage13246 This makes me sick.. Taking perfectly good reliable cars off the road and pushing brand new stuff that nobody can afford. Finding good used cars for cheap is getting harder and harder nowadays now that everyone is mainly looking for a cheap used car. Save the environment my ass. I'm sure the emissions put out by the crushing machines only crushing the cash for clunkers cars put out more emissions than all those "clunker" cars would have put out in their lifetime combined.

How much does your recycler pay? Do they pay by the pound? Was thinking of offering "cash for cars" in my area. Thank you for the cool video!
