I am amazed at how many comments my video has received. I am from america and the siren is very different than the sirens we hear in america, I recorded it for my family to hear the difference and posted it for them and now lots of people have commented on it, I think it's funny.

I´M italian but I have to say that our Ambulance`s siren are really shit you cant really understand if it comes when u are in the traffic!

There's nothing wrong with it. It only sounds strange to foreign Americans like you. It's not supposed to be charming, it's supposed to get people out of the way.

the reason the siren is like that is porbbaly becuase people don't move out of the way and its the way to get their attention. Move or I'll blow your ear drums away.

It's not as you explained. That siren is the only that can be used on italian ambulances, but sounds lower than american sirens; anyway, as sometimes cars don't hear while an ambulance is arriving, some of them uses it as second sound

As result, ambulances in Italy has a lot of sirens that causes confusion because some people recognize them as a car alarm instead of an emergency signal.

I've made a mistake. For second sound i mean american siren, used after italian.

In Italia abbiamo bitonali molto più potenti delle sirene americane (per es. le Intav da 280W), ma gli allestitori non le montano di serie perchè costano il doppio di quelle normali. Abbiamo il mitico fischio ancora in produzione (CS136 La Sonora), praticamente la sirena più potente in assoluto, ma si dice che la bitonale non è più in fase sperimentale e quindi sostituisce definitivamente il fischio.

Le sirene che producono soltanto suoni americani  non sono omologate in Italia, ma alcuni modelli hanno anche il suono bitonale italiano selezionabile e quindi sono omologate (ma l'unico suono utilizzabile in territorio nazionale è quello bitonale).

Approfitto della tua gentilezza.. :) non è che sapresti indicarmi una normativa o altro che mi consenta di rifiutarmi di usare una sirena che non sia la bitonale? Magari qualcosa che indichi le conseguenze in caso di sinistro con utilizzo di sirene strane..
