this is just the sound of this performance. just see 0:05 when he starts to play the guitar, it doesn't fit with the sound. the audio it's propably taken from an acoustic version witch was recorded in a studio. that's not a live sound. (i love the song)

@Hughespipe To be honest, Kroeger is technically near Myles Kennedy's level. Chad's voice is much lower, yet he can go really high in full voice. Both of them are fantastic singers, in different ways. Myles Kennedy is much better at light, Jeff Buckley-like tenorish singing whereas Kroeger's voice is stronger and more powerful.

I would tend to disagree. I think Chad has really poor technique for getting raspiness in the voice, and I imagine if he continues like that, he will have problems later in his career.

@Hughespipe Not true at all. Have you heard his live performance of "Burn It to the Ground"? He nails the rasp there and hits some extremely powerful highs. His older stuff definitely has worse rasp control (kind of constipated results sometimes) but he has improved so much. Listen to the chorus of "This Means War" to hear some damn good singing.

Take a look at 1.50 where solo begins, you can see and hear at first that drumer is playing right hand on the Hi-Hat and on next scene on 11.55 he is dooing it on Ride Cymbal but if you listen there is no difference,we still here Hi-Hat all the time. So my first impression was that they cut and mixed on numerous takes..Chad on 1.43-he's got perfect volume level on high note and it is obvious it is edited later.Opinions?'
