@DemonAMVs u have obviously never used final cut pro. I have vegas 9 on my PC and Final cut on my mac. but even if you dont have a mac theres way better software to edit on a PC than Vegas. If your on a pc want to edit just get avid or premiere. I just personally prefer Final Cut.

Normally I just fix the problem and move on after yelling at the computer for a while LMAO I know its not its fault but I feel better anyway. But if I had to choose between 7 or vista no way id take shitsta. I do however use all style taskbars and a 7 modification that gives me its thumbnails depending on my mood. Respond to this video... Though 7 is surely faster at downloading over XP and I do like the feature that it finds the drivers online automatically to anything you plug in. Just weird it seems if I do try to use the disk it wont read it and tells me there is no disk in the drive.
Fyi, I hate how expensive macs are and I don't say they're good because of the price. However, whenever I've used windows it's glitchy and slow.
In Mac, verryyy rarely, if you have like, five bajillion windows up, a program will stop responding. But instead of waiting forever for the message to pop up and then it taking forever to close once you hit ok, you just go to the apple menu and click force quit and pick the program, it closes instantly. Plus I have to "end now" constantly on windows.

You don't need boot camp to run windows programs, you can get wine, which doesn't require booting in windows OR mac, you can have both types of programs up at once. The only reason for having to run windows programs is because people make more programs for Windows because it's more popular because it's cheaper. And you know what more popular also means? I did find a way to fun osx on my pc for fun and to show my friend with a mac a pc that was trice as fast as his and cost 1/2 the price using the same os. $730 isn't much for an i7 based pc at 3.6ghz. After that watching safari along with apple chess crash was boring and painful. So, I formatted the drive and showed him windows 7 out running his mac during rendering/editing etc, lol. He had a sick look on his face, but managed to say it was cool at least.

@97fergo, hate to break it to you, but there are all sorts of PC's. All you have to do is shop around a little and it's easy to find a PC that works better than macs mid quality offerings. I got my i7 based PC a full year before apple even brought that chip to their upper end $2000 imacs. At $730 is was already faster and with minor settings changes it was a lot quicker at 3.6ghz. To prove this we also ran osx on it and it destroyed a typical $1600 imac. Win7 ran better however.

@97fergo If you understood the user end agreement (which im sure you've never read), then you'll see that Apple reserves the right to confiscate any and all Mac products whenever they see fit. @97fergo No, Windows has service packs because there is always new hardware and new software coming out, and sometimes certain things don't work perfectly together, regardless of whether you're running a mac or windows. the service packs are to make things run smoother together. Windows also does free automatic updates along with said service packs with more content than a new Mac OS. so really, you're paying 30 bucks, for less than a PC service pack. Whenever your mac breaks down (and it probably will someday) you have to send it to a special apple store where you can just repair your own pc or get it to almost any pc store in your area. Besides, higher prices don't always mean better quality and in this case i doubt that seriously. The software is not that different, either. In the late 1990's, Apple decided it was time to throw away their cooperative multitasking shitty memory management crap called MacOS 9, and get Unix instead. This is how MacOS X was born (stolen actually).
@thierryvt By the way, MacOS X was designed to be x86 (Intel) compatible from the ground up, which makes it obvious that the 2006 PowerPC->x86 switch was being planned by that time. To sum it all up: in the late 1990's Apple decided to throw away both their hardware and their software. Compare this to the arrogant anti-PC commercials they had been producing up to that time. If they just had spent more money on R&D and less on arrogant fucking commercials...

Normally I just fix the problem and move on after yelling at the computer for a while LMAO I know its not its fault but I feel better anyway. But if I had to choose between 7 or vista no way id take shitsta. I do however use all style taskbars and a 7 modification that gives me its thumbnails depending on my mood. Fyi, I hate how expensive macs are and I don't say they're good because of the price. However, whenever I've used windows it's glitchy and slow.
In Mac, verryyy rarely, if you have like, five bajillion windows up, a program will stop responding. But instead of waiting forever for the message to pop up and then it taking forever to close once you hit ok, you just go to the apple menu and click force quit and pick the program, it closes instantly. Plus I have to "end now" constantly on windows.

You don't need boot camp to run windows programs, you can get wine, which doesn't require booting in windows OR mac, you can have both types of programs up at once. The only reason for having to run windows programs is because people make more programs for Windows because it's more popular because it's cheaper. And you know what more popular also means? p.s. A lot of windows computers come with spyware pre-installed because the companies strike deals with these people, and thus the computers are cheaper than they would be otherwise. Yeah you can get rid of it but, wtf? That's not right. btw, iphoto and imovie are quite fantastic, and mac only. ;)

I did find a way to fun osx on my pc for fun and to show my friend with a mac a pc that was trice as fast as his and cost 1/2 the price using the same os. $730 isn't much for an i7 based pc at 3.6ghz. After that watching safari along with apple chess crash was boring and painful. So, I formatted the drive and showed him windows 7 out running his mac during rendering/editing etc, lol. He had a sick look on his face, but managed to say it was cool at least.

@97fergo, hate to break it to you, but there are all sorts of PC's. All you have to do is shop around a little and it's easy to find a PC that works better than macs mid quality offerings. I got my i7 based PC a full year before apple even brought that chip to their upper end $2000 imacs. At $730 is was already faster and with minor settings changes it was a lot quicker at 3.6ghz. To prove this we also ran osx on it and it destroyed a typical $1600 imac. Win7 ran better however.

@viharsarok They still do create there own software. iMovie for example last year was the most used app for making award winning Documentaries. Also iLife thats a bunch of MAC apps not Microsoft. Windows applications if anything are lesser forms of MAC apps even if MAC did steal some of there ideas they made them better.

For example, Apple's iMovie may be better than other applications for making documentaries (I have no idea), but their CPU was worse than that of Intel.

XP was the last TRULY used as a favored program cause they didn't really see any need in win7, and who the hell wants vista? Well except maybe the taskbar. Apple quit using their own PowerPC CPU's and adopted the very CPU's they had been bashing. It started using its own competitor's hardware!

@97fergo If you understood the user end agreement (which im sure you've never read), then you'll see that Apple reserves the right to confiscate any and all Mac products whenever they see fit. The licence that you bought when you went down to the store allows you to do with the product what you want to... until you do something that Apple doesn't like, and then they can just come and take it away from you without having to answer any of your questions (this exact thing happened to my sister)

And about not affording a mac, I just got myself a new gaming PC. I paid 1,600 dollars for it, and it will out preform any computer that mac will come out with for the next several years. and before you say "oh the cheapest mac is more expensive than that" like some other dumbass tried to tell me, the new 21" macs start at 1,200 dollars

I also like the fact that Windows doesn't charge me when ever a service pack comes out. mac doesn't even bother with service packs, the just put it in a box and call it a new OS. PCs are for poor people, they're for smart people

@97fergo No, Windows has service packs because there is always new hardware and new software coming out, and sometimes certain things don't work perfectly together, regardless of whether you're running a mac or windows. the service packs are to make things run smoother together. Windows also does free automatic updates along with said service packs with more content than a new Mac OS. so really, you're paying 30 bucks, for less than a PC service pack. (and sorry for the typo, moron)

@97fergo well I have no idea what $100 updates you're talking about, every update that PC comes out with is free up until a brand new OS, like from XP to Vista and 7. When Mac comes out with a new OS, it feels more like from XP to XP SP1 and so forth, so like I said, paying money for the content of a service pack. as for moving and rearranging everything, you obviously actually know nothing about computers. and i play games in my free time, because it's my idea of fun, not because i have no life

@97fergo tbh i don't get your point here (if there is any to begin with). a mac is a pc you know, it has all kinds of different hardware put together (just like a pc). It uses software to make em work together, the only difference is that apple has put it's stamp on it and doubled the price, oh and don't forget that they made it impossible to upgrade. @97fergo Reading some of the other comments makes me wonder where you live. Whenever your mac breaks down (and it probably will someday) you have to send it to a special apple store where you can just repair your own pc or get it to almost any pc store in your area. Besides, higher prices don't always mean better quality and in this case i doubt that seriously. As stated in my previous comment macs are pc's but with an apple stamp and different software (and double the price).

The software is not that different, either. In the late 1990's, Apple decided it was time to throw away their cooperative multitasking shitty memory management crap called MacOS 9, and get Unix instead. This is how MacOS X was born (stolen actually).

@thierryvt By the way, MacOS X was designed to be x86 (Intel) compatible from the ground up, which makes it obvious that the 2006 PowerPC->x86 switch was being planned by that time. To sum it all up: in the late 1990's Apple decided to throw away both their hardware and their software. Compare this to the arrogant anti-PC commercials they had been producing up to that time. If they just had spent more money on R&D and less on arrogant fucking commercials...

Price doesn't ENSURE quality, but why do people assume the opposite? That a higher price means they're automatically bad?? Common sense has gone down drain.
Designer clothes are overpriced, but they're still often nicer than normal clothes. People just usually don't bother with paying extra money when it doesn't make a big difference. (probly makes a bigger difference with computers, though)
