Now what a minute. If Peter Fernandes died. Then who played Spritle in the new series Speed Racer the Next Generation? I've heard that it was him that played the part of Spritle.

It's such a damn shame you know. None of the remakes have been able to live up to the original. I will say though that Speed Racer X is more close than any other, but not by much. I had just found out this evening that Peter Fernandez, the man who breathed new life into Tasudo Yoshida's series as the voice of Speed Racer had died a few weeks ago, July 17th I believe it was. I am saddened by his loss and only wish that he'd lived to see a new series worthy of the name.

This show was on syndiciation when I was a kid. I was a weekend show. It didn't really gain alot of fans. Japan tends to do better when they remake their own stuff

Speed Racer X was better.

But have you seen Next Generation? Ugh. That shows pretty ugly. This show is certainly better than it.

Yay I remember this episode, this "computer" turned out to be a brain of some officially deceased madman, it later mounted itself in some sort of bolid and tried to get atop that high building in order to take over the world lol... I wish I could see the whole thing again!
