  • I remember being a little kid and thinking this show's opening looked cool and had an awesome song. However, my parents banned me from watching "violent" shows.

Well...25 years later...saw the series on sale for 20 bucks. Bought it. And, I gotta' tell ya, it's lot better than some of the crap on TV these days.

  • in 1987, i was 11. this show came on at 10 pm; i remember it being a really big deal on the rare occasion i was permitted to stay up to watch it

  • Why are there two different opening videos

  • @Atomicflash500 There were a few variations of the 1st season opening, but if you're wondering about the change in setting the story started in Chicago and as the season progressed it moved to Las Vegas. If you want particulars as to why I suggest you find a way to watch it (netflix, etc.) you will not be sorry, believe that!!

  • @Atomicflash500 This is the story of the Chicago Mob. Luca is a disguised Tony Spilotro (Joe Pesci in "Casino.") Instead of kind of dumping you in the middle of the story, it starts in Chicago. I do have to say this would have been a glorious time to live in Las Vegas.

  • the song is Run Away by Del Shannon.

  • What a song!!, I love it,

This is the song for my motorbike and me

  • Dennis was a Chicago Police Officer and the only actor that played a policeman that was a policeman. After 20 years on the job I retired. Dennis you are a GREAT actor and a mentor for guys on the job.

  • Thanks for posting this! It brings back memories!

  • frankdrebin666-ебанутая kurwa

  • @MultiSobchak ruska kurwa

  • 2 retarded!

  • Kurwa mać. Zajebista czołówka :) Kocham ten serial

  • Hard to believe that Stephen Lang (plays the lawyer) in this series, which is still fun to watch is the crazy colonel in Avatar. He is super buff.

  • "at least you're thinking, Paulie"

  • i gotta get this on dvd, the only problem i have is the took out all the damn music

  • crg55555,

I can't seem to find additional sites for C/S. Good luck, let me know if you find them. Thanks for the response. DET 832...

  • It's so rare that it all comes together like this did - great opening theme, great actors, great scenery, great period, great cars, great story ...loved it! Finally ordered DVD, pilot and series, time to treat myself to the good stuff that's so rare these days! Thanks!

  • @SRB427 - The Miami vice conections with this show- Farina appeared in 3 episodes, Smitrovich was in the MV Pilot Movie, the guy who played Paulie in CS was in a 2 part 1st season episode of MV, Michael Mann produced both shows...

  • Fucking love this show, i'm a kid and this is my faviroute tv show of alll time!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when comes it back on the Dutch television.???

A fine moment in the week it was, all those beautifull cars.

  • Just got season 1 from Amazon. Miami Vice and Crime story, that brings so memories back. Now I just need to get ALF. Actually it sucks getting old

  • Best TV show ever!!! I loved it like no other!!! Dennis Farina and the entire case was incredible!! Shame on NBC for cancelling it...I still miss it to this day!!!

  • @pkbenham do ya no where i can see all 44eps ty 4ya help :)

  • @crg55555 I would suggest getting on ebay to buy the series on DVD. I've seen other posts from people who have already done this to complete their Crime Story library. I have most if not all of them on VHS, so I'm going to have to transfer them to DVD since VCR's are basically a thing of the past now. Nice to share your love of "real honest-to-goodness TV" It's rare these days based on the nonsense that's out there nowadays! Cheers!

  • Great show and a great song!

  • great . no other words!!!!

  • Is the Chicago opening available? I thought the series was better when it was set in Chicago.

  • this opening is from season 2, season 1 took place in Chicago, Farina character in vegas worked for a vice division of either LVPD or the FBI

  • They moved to Vegas partway through Season 1 - remember the season ender with the bomb test in the Nevada desert.

  • the best show all times

  • Great Series !!!!!!

  • @DET832 do ya no a site on the net 2c the eps ty :)

  • FLOVED me some Dennis Farina he was so gosh-darned sexy!

  • I remember watching this with my brother when we were kids. The last show I watched they went down in a plane into water. Was that the end?

  • Yeah it was a cliffhanger in case they got renewed agaion, just as Ray and Paulie in the desert with the bomb test (more or less redone in Indiana Jones 4) ended season 1.

  • thanks

  • Actually Farina already had grey hair then. He dyed it for the first season. In season 2 he let it go back grey.

  • I remember this tv series back in the 80's. Dennis Farina doesnt look as though he has aged alot now, except the grey hair! This tv series was a classic

  • Pero esta inspirada en 1963... yo la vi en TV los 90's

  • por canciones y series como esta, AMO LOS 80s

  • I loved this series. Stylized. Love It.

  • It tooks me two hours trying to remind the name of the series too

  • Thks man!

I took 2 hours searching for this intro.

I could not rememender the series name...

    Nice song and series.

  • hi to every one i am from kosovo i like very much USA dream cars from 50s and 60s,i have one chevy belair 1959 and also one ford galaxie fairline 500 from year 1959.greetings from kosovo i love USA...

  • Americans love those huge cars too. They're big, they're gorgeous, and when you drive a huge Caddilac or Pontiac, or a muscle car like the Dodge Charger, you feel a great sense of pride.

Unfortunately, they were also "gas-guzzlers". When they were first manufactured, gas was cheap. Then in the late 1970's, gas prices rose, and little Japanese cars became popular, and US auto plants began shutting down.

But I'm glad you love the USA.

  • rejluca, my parents had a bright red 1965 Ford Mustang when I was growing up..I can stil remember the detials of the car inside and out. Little did I know back then that it would be come a collectable car someday. Thanks for the nice comment about the USA, good luck with your classic car collection! :)

  • Del Shannon sings "Runaway" here - great theme song!

  • Super utwór w odpowiednim klimacie. Lata 60-te, Las Vegas, te auta (cudeńka) - wszystko przemija a szkoda. A poza tym świetny film.

  • Yeah! That's what I like!

  • this opening is in my mind since childhood. great movie :) shitty but classic

  • Classic. Nice

  • Dennis Farina looks good no matter what!!

  • "The original Tony Soprano" - well put, only Luca was superior.

  • Please give a round of applause to the original Tony Soprano; Ray Luca!

  • can i get this shit on dvd??? any one???

  • Both seasons are available. Awesome.

  • I loved this show. It is in my humble opinion one of the best crime dramas ever on television. Crime Story was a combination of The French Connection and The Sopranos.

  • @BRUCWAR68 do ya no where i see it all the eps on the net ty :)

  • @crg55555 cheaper to buy the dvd set on amazon....well worth it!!! i bought my used and got a great deal on it....only two seasons...got to get them both!!

  • sweet, that brings back some old memories of watching this with my dad! Wish I could find the boxed set to that old show!
