The 4.6 may not be powerful engine but they are reliable for an American engine, my grandmother Crown Vic has prolly 150k and I'm pretty sure it's only had 3 oil changes since 95 lol
I have a video of me racing a 4.6 in my Nissan truck that had 277k at the time, i had two passengers, and a SBC fresh from the machine shop in the bed lol.
I bet it was a delivery van. If you do the math, over 8 years it was in operation it saw probably about 150 miles a day. The good condtion with no dents and healthy engine indicates that it was probably used by a single driver over the time and probably highway mileage with little stop and go. Maybe a regular route by a delivery company between an airport and several distant rural sites.
@yellowcow13 Obviously the biggest workhorse out there is the E-Series. Chevy may have more powerful engine & a lower ride but has always made a tougher Van even tho is antiquated.
I know for will have the Fullsize Transit here soon & call it T-Series. All I know is, they need to put in tougher engines if they intend to continue the Strong Market the E-Series has.
@Intechdude300 Yes they do. Im hoping for 3.7 V6 in the T-1 and the 5.0 in the 2 and 3. They seem up to the task. Hopefully they will come standard with oil and tranny coolers and any other life adders.
@yellowcow13 YEah I'm expecting the engines under the F-150's hood ( Except the overkill 6.2L ) And some diesel options to better compete against the Sprinter
@wokeupthismorning100 Arthur Mitchell had one.. that creepy Liddy guy had one (and was killed by Dexter in one). And Dexter had a van one time, sold to him by some serial killer guy (who praised it's large space).
these are durable workhorses and that 4.6 was built to work as well..who knows maybey it can get up to 400,000 miles!

@corvettekid224 I think the engine will out live the van in this case lol

@1bentley4ever yuck lol, must be using dentures if the previous owner is still alive.
Intechdude300 4 months ago
@Intechdude300 OR maybe the van was previously a mobile meth lab and the driver had meth mouth?

You will truly degrade yourself when you review a lifted Chevy Silverado with Confederate flag decals all over it.

@Intechdude300 If you feel like it could you do a comparison of the leading 3 vans. It would be cool to see your take on which one is best.
