I was turned off to this movie based on the salad tossing joke in the trailer. Just seemed forced and lame. Turns out, its not a joke in the movie. Hanks doesn't react to the line at all. The trailer spliced the lines together to make it's own little lame joke. It cost them a potential ticket. Bad trailer, good movie.

This movie was great. It was sad and uplifting at the same time - I love Malkovich I just watched the Amazing Kreskin on NBC Video Rewind with JIMMY FALLON-he worked with J Malkovich Kreskin was the inspiration for Johnny Carson's "The amazing Carnac" that viewers loved on the tonight show!

These TV shows from the trailer are a tiny segment of the film, which I just saw.. Awesome part for Malkovitch. Blunt is subtly but great as always. Hanks Jr.'s minimal acting serves the film OK. Stylistically the directing is perfect for its subject. Honors the tradition of journeyman entertainers from back "in the day", in whom we NEED to re-discover the magic. In the age of electronic media its all bites, bytes, clips, and quips. This is old school and therein is IT'S magic.

I think this movie might be better if it were called "The Late Fuck Howard", and it centered around a guy who took hours to arrive at a booty call. Same cast, minus George Takei. Fuck anyone who says different, including all of you.
