You have seriously missed the point: Jack was stuck on Earth, immortal, for more than a hundred years between the end of Series 1 and the beginning of Torchwood. He's had a lot of time to get serious.

Yeah I have noticed the difference, he's soo serious in torchwood. he was way more fun & flirtatious in Dr Who; but he's still incredibly HOT & has uber hot love affairs with whoever he wants :p

there are so few bi characters on TV so for that I think torchwood's pretty damn groovy. Let's just hope jack lightens up a little & gets back to his old fun-loving, charming self

But that's forgetting that Jack had been left for dead by Nine and Rose, sat through the twentieth century and has that old thorny issue of watching more or less everyone he knew over the years grow old and wither away while he stayed young and healthy. He may have managed to overcome a few of the abandonment issues, but he was nonetheless changed by them.

On the Lisa front, didn't Ianto say either in the episode or on the site that he took Lisa with him from Torchwood One and has been working on her/storing her in the basement ever since? So really, if he was sleeping with Jack before she finally died, Lisa was the one who was actually being cheated on. Although really, that just brings up the whole question of whether it's cheating if she wasn't technically -alive- in the normal sense and whatnot. *g*
