The words to Laurie's song are prescient but only in hindsight (if that makes sense lol) but I think that even though Laurie got confused with what inspired her to write this song (Iran contra affair) she had some weird, 4th dimensional contact and idea where American foreign policy was going so wrong and how that would end up, which WE are dealing with NOW....She knew somehow....this song always makes my arms go into gooseflesh....somehow.

O Superman was already a commentary on superpower politics, you added nothing to the discourse except to link 9/11 to the song by the use of the lyric "here come the planes". I suppose if terrorists had used a freight train you would have done a montage to the Grateful Dead's "Truckin'" and garnered the requisite number of "oooh that's so chilling!" comments.

It's not some sort of stupid "chilling" prophecy or something, it's just that in a post 9/11 environment, the song's entire message took on a new meaning for a lot of people. The whole phone part = trapped people in the buildings/planes calling their families; "you don't know me, but I know you" "this is the hand, the hand that takes" = the taliban/jihadists in general; "when love is gone, there's always justice". Some of the shots were PERFECT but others are just pouty and whiney. Also, you should have just used the pictures without the lyrics typed over them, it would have had a MUCH stronger impact. Still, a DAMN clever idea. Good job!
