Wonderful! Ahhh memories of Gaels of Laughter at the Gaiety theatre with Jimmy O'Dea, Jack Cruise and of course the irreplaceable Maureen. I'd love to see/hear her doing her act with 'Christy' again. Yes I'm that old :) Thank you.
Ok in short. I am a collector of old VTR's and do vintage video transfers. These old tapes were sent to me by someone who recorded them in Ireland. He found me by the internet. I did a DVD transfer.
Wonderful clip, I saw it when it was originally aired. I'd forgotten how good a singer Maureen Potter was, and Patricia Cahill was a stunner

I was one of the dancers on Maureen's gales of laughter shows at the gaiety theater Dublin.
She was an extraordinary talent, and such a nice lady.I have great memories of that time.

I have snippets of the Gaels of Laughter show from 1977. It's an amateur camera recording in 405 line television standard.

Ohh it would be absolutely wonderful if you could upload those snippets to here. What a treat that would be.

This is absolutely marvelllous, and I'm thankful you're posting this!
Might I ask how you came into possession of British tv material, given the fact you're living in Belgium? (I live there myself, btw.)

That is a very long and complicated story. I send you personal mail.
