Show No Mercy had some nice soloing. Slayer started off as a death metal band, Hell awaits was death metal. There are many guitarists in thrash that could play things kerry could never play sorry, even though SNM was good.

i hate how everyone compares lars to dave, we all know dave out does lars by a long shot, but if u think about it, lars int he drummer that shows u need NOTHING fancy to sound totally badass, like blackened, ride the lightning, battery, and justice for all, hell all of them, but stop comparing him, without lars, theres no true METALLICA and without dave, theres no TRUE SLAYER, those bands are by far my 2 fav bands and i would prefer lars in metallica over dave, dave belongs in slayer
