wow it's so crazy to hear Barbra talking about her new project funny girl, with the ladies talking about how it will be good ... they have no idea lol
I feel like I'm witnessing dramatic irony, a viewer from the furture, like "i know something you don't know" !
@LittleMonsterMan93 agreed. love barbra, merman is amazing, judy, i like her but personally she is not my favourite, but she can sing i will give her that.
I just laughed a bit when I thought about the three biggest belters of the Broadway Golden Age together in the same room...it's kind of amazing. I mean Merman is just all BANG BITCHES! Garland has this refined and low voice that's beautiful and powerful when she starts heading higher. Barbra - I wish I had words for Barbra. She could probably cause a small earthquake back in those days with the sheer power in her lungs.
Incredible trio and yes, television history....Merman didn't need a mic in any theater she played...the biggest belter and hoofer of them all and tough as nails. Barbra looked like she wanted to run screaming out of the studio and Judy was having fun intimidating her with Merman...Only Barbra remains and she is as spectacular as ever !!!
Barbra looks so nervous and awkward too!

God Barbra's new project Funny Girl... If they only knew...

This is such and interesting study in three completely different personalities. This clip sums up the three of them as individuals perfectly.

Ethel could be a bit overbearing, I notice that Judy really does her best to include Barbra in the convo and make her feel... comfortable... LOL!

she's so Brooklyn. Do you hear that accent when she says, "Don't make me an innocent girl."

Barbra kinda has that look like, "Remember this face fellas, because soon it will be everywhere!" I love it!!!

Annoying Merman, as always, making everything about herself.
She was possibly the most annoying voice and personality.

You can tell Barbra is holding back to not make it about herself. Merman is such a D!VA!!!! Love them all!!!!

The greatest tragedy on Broadway - ever - was when Barbara Streisand stopped doing live theater.
IMHO.
IOLTA 4 months ago
@IOLTA No. Greatest tragedy on Broadway: when Julie Andrews lost her voice to surgery, THEN Barbra.
Wagnerlover777 4 months ago 2
@IOLTA - Barbra's talent is such that she cannot be caged in a show that simply repeats itself eight times a week.

What is Ethel Merman doing these days?
somewhatlongdong 1 year ago
@somewhatlongdong Belting her butt off on the Great White Way in the sky.
This is hilarious. I bet Ethel wanted to punch both of them...she HATED other women, especially competition!
