  • boring..... u u need a least a 3 cell lipo at a 50c discharge on those puppies to have made that video worth watching.. nd it says 70mph on the box but even with mine geared out i dont think it hits that

  • i want to buy one of theser but whitch one is wetter for value the hpi E-firestorm ore the traxxas rustler x5l

  • @route66rocks hpi is more racing traxxas is more bashing, this includes all the cars for the brands

  • i have both and the rustlers are so fast and for the firestorm flux lets just says burn baby burn (thats right caught fire and it wasnt down to me) but i do think the e firestorm chassis is better than the rustler

  • I'm getting a normal e-Firestorm and ordering a VXL motor with it, the best of both, I can't wait :)

  • The E firestorm flux is significantly better. Traxxas is for numbarse Americans. You've only got to read up on Hpi to find out. The vxl esc's are toss. The firestorm has a much, much better " mamba max " esc.

  • well its a sidewinder which is made in the U.S and the vxl is waterproof and rustys are like 10 times stronger

    BTW im British lol XD

  • are they loud?

  • turn up your speakers and listen

  • PLEASE COMMENT IM DESPERATE TO KNOW BEFORE I BLOW $300.how fast did your brushless rustler go right out of the box?

  • it depends on which souece of power you buy: NiMi 6, 7 or 8 cells.. or Lipo.

On NiMi the 6 cells will get 30/35mph..

    Lipo: 70mph

having run at 70mph+.. thats ok for smooth roads.. off road you dont need more than 45 max or its uncontrollable :)

  • which one do you like better?

  • which should i get?

  • e-firestrom flux = the best

  • i hardly ever break anything on my rusty so must be the way your'e driving it! I got some rpm parts on it tho to make it bulletproof. i got alu shocks rear and lunsford hingepins and a wide front bumper. No shocks pop no bearings popped ever! Guess you're doing something wrong!

  • ya the rustys break alot their castors bearing pop, front bumper, shocks, esc, spurs

  • well your not on a offical track. so rules dont matter. i sorry if i got you mad but in my book if your not breaking things your not having fun $)

  • oh, trust me, we have broken an AWFUL lot.. (list further down page of stuff in under 12 months)... Im sure you appreciate with two cars, two people, batteries, camcorder etc... you don't always get the best stuff on camera, infact we have no breakage recorded - perhaps one day :¬D

  • i dont think this is bashing

  • Definition... "Racing without rules or regulations and/or driving and testing your Radio Control car to its limits especially over jumps, not worrying about the outcome"

So my that statement I stand by the term Bashing in relation to the vid :¬D

  • well hell, as they say......if you not breaking shit your not drivin hard enough hehe.......

  • in that case im havin too much fun

ive broke so fucken much from bashin

    but idc

    i<3 my rusty with lipo

  • IM not so sure about the comment of the Rustler breaking.....i have a VXL and have hit it HARD and have not broken anything yet.....I find it to be a very nice truck and VERY fast with just a 7 cell NiMh.

  • No kidding, in 12 months i have had to replace: Rear shock mount Shock tower (whole section) had a Traxxas service on the ESC (damaged connectors) both rear A bars bumper 2 sets of rear tyres new shell 5 stub axles 1 rear wheel hub motor cover full set of shocks 6 caster blocks
  • so... what is better truck? the rustler or e-firestorm?

  • WOW, the $64,000 Question. They both have good and bad points, the Rustler seems to break quite easy, hard to really say of thats bad driver or poor design -it looks like it should be stronger, but stub axels, A supports as well as other parts breaking have kept is requiring many spares. Great fast car however and a superb turning circle.

Firestorm is very stable, balanced over jumps and tuff - no breakages in over a year!, not quite as quick is the Rustler, better rear tyres as standard

  • (cont.)

I am sure a lot was him getting used to the speed or generally not being aware of hard objects around him!

We take them out together and over the same obsticles, and i really do 'nail' the jumps and only needed to replace 3 broken parts!

anyhow, thankfully Traxxas parts are easy to find and cheap (than some makes!)... either car is a great RC to own :¬D

  • yes its the Valley Gardens!

  • This is Harrogate ??
