You are wrong padookie. Compare murder rates for USA and the UK , and this is total number of murders not just gun crime; USA=5.4 per 100,000, UK=2.03 per 100,000. So taking away the guns does appear to reduce OVERALL murder rates. As has been pointed out here previously, killing with a gun is so much easier than killing with a knife or other weapon.
50 murders a day in South Africa, 75% of these are gun related. What Moore fails to point out about the whole violence thing around the world. Yes, only 65+ gun-related crimes take place in the UK each year, but the violence is still there. In the US, guns are easy to get, same as South Africa = more gun violence. In the UK its harder to find them, so knives and other weapons are used to kill. Take away guns, they'll come at you with something else.

And I wonder where most of that gun violence comes from. Based on what I've seen, it is mostly from gang-related violence in big cities (the most liberal cities in the country typically also have higher crime-rates). Also the culture among gang banger savages that it's cool to engage in violent acts, such as robberies or shoot outs. How come Moore never points blame at people like that? Instead he targets organizations that promote responsible firearm use, like the NRA.

You are wrong padookie. Compare murder rates for USA and the UK , and this is total number of murders not just gun crime; USA=5.4 per 100,000, UK=2.03 per 100,000. So taking away the guns does appear to reduce OVERALL murder rates. As has been pointed out here previously, killing with a gun is so much easier than killing with a knife or other weapon.

Yes, only 65+ gun-related crimes take place in the UK each year, but the violence is still there. In the US, guns are easy to get, same as South Africa = more gun violence. In the UK its harder to find them, so knives and other weapons are used to kill. Take away guns, they'll come at you with something else.

American media always ask some "experts" to give judgements and assertions, without logical reasoning or whole picture statistics, repetitively so people would buy their crap. If this is not propaganda, I don't know what is.
