  • sick! I loved this video! I never knew that second poster board would change that much in part 1 and the little trick you did with the black poster so no light gets to it was nice too! this will come in handy! thanks a lot!!

  • Elaborate... black color things??? give me a time index or something. I have no clue what you are referring too.

  • In Part 1 there is black colour things under product and after taken photo in part 2 ,can't find any black thing under that product. How you do it and why?

  • hi i love your tips, my question is how do you black out a background, one if its a sheet, two a model is standing in front of it. How do you get the same effect with studio lights?

  • Can you use poster board outside? Besides buying a reflector, what could you use that would be inexpensive?

  • @2007omi In this video we used poster board only. We did not use a reflector. It does not get any cheaper than that.

  • @PhotoClassPro I understand that your using the poster board for indoors. My question was for outside - what can you use in the place of a reflector?

  • @2007omi Well if the poster board was reflective inside, it will stil be reflective outside. In fact, when you spend $50 or so on a reflector, they usually come with multiple surfaces. Silver metallic, gold metallic, and flat white. Just like the flat white of a poster board... For silver, you can use a $5 sunscreen that you put in the windshield of your car. Watch - "Low key image on a low key budget" - that I posted here a few months ago to see that work.

  • Great video series! It gives me a lot to think about.
