I'm 18 and I volunteer at the National Runaway Switchboard. We get tons of calls every day: kids who have run away, kids who are thinking about running away, kids that have gone through all sorts of abuse, parents that are at the end of their rope, parents that are worried sick about their kids, and all sorts of other situations.
Prank calls clog up our lines and discourage us. Don't get me wrong, I think prank calls can be hilarious, but please...don't prank a CRISIS hotline. That's just sick.
