I have always love Celia Cruz since I was 5 years old!! I am from louisiana, and had never seen a "black" person singing in spanish before. I didnt understand the words to her songs but I felt them in my soul!! if she were born in America, I could easily see her as a gospel singer, or a soul singer. She opened my mind to so much music, and I am truly greatful. She was such a beautiful spirit, and always held herself with such pride. Truly Amazing!!

Creo que nunca más se podrá armar un grupo como "La Fania", con tantos artistas como estos, quizás la gente que estuvo en "Buena Vista Social Club" es lo que vi más cerca de esto. Este tema "Guantanamera", "El manisero" y "El Watusi" (Ray Barretto) son mis preferidos de la música cubana (junto a los mambos de P.Prado) que me ha llegado hasta Argentina (me parece que la version de El Manisero por Pérez Prado o la de Xavier Cougat son casi insuperables).
