one of their best. a saw classic like 'got to be certain , together forever',nothing can divide us and many many more.' a whole lot of nothing' is a clever line.
Are all 3 of these guys gay? I thought one of them was married and had kids, I could be wrong. Apart from Phil I cannot find any current info on the other 2.
This is my fave song by Big Fun, though it seems that at least two of them didn't really sing. (Either that, or Mae Moore's mike was turned up louder.) Wasn't this group earlier called "7th Avenue"?
OMFG!!!!!..I had the "Pocketful Of Dreams" cassette and VHS with all their videos back in 1989-1990...I was...13/14, muahahahaha....I also had posters of them and Jason Donovan, hahahahaha.....Cheesy!....
I don't ever remember seeing these guys here in the U.S., so I am a little late to the party, but I absolutely love them! "Pocketful of Dreams" was just re-released on Cherry Pop label with extra tracks-just great! Not much info on what the guys are doing now, except for Phil. God the 90's were great!
This the most awful SAW video ever !! But I come back and watch it every six months lol. I think the boys should have been filmed just from the neck up!!!
I can remember dancing to this as a 5/6 year old, whenever these three came on TOTP - whether it was this, can't shake the feeling (though I may have been 4 when that came out) and Blame it on the boogie!!
OMG! I really loved this song and I have to admit it...we tried to learn the choreography, play the record and dance...this was 20 years ago!!! Still catchy after all these years. Great tune!
God! I´ve always loved the song but the video...man! it´s so gay. It´s the first time ever I see it and what the heck goes by in front of the guys all the time?? Trains or something?? It´s so annoying!
Such a dodgy attempt to make a combinaion of Bros and Jason Donavan in one band!
It worked too, as a short term money spinner. These guys turned up on every kids saturday morning TV programme - and kids liked them for a few months.
That's what Britains music needs - for someone to revive Motormouth, Live % Kicking, SMTV or Gaz Top and Gilbert's show with Timmy Mallet and the Chuckly Bros - these programmes have been replaced with cookery programmes. That drives kids to alchohol, little cunts.
Wow, I loved this song back in the early nineties and discovering it tonight on youtube has cheered me up! It was one of the first vinyl records I bought.
Good god. this is dreadful, thanks for posting though - i have vague memories of them, and sweet jesus they were woeful. How can they be compared with Bananarama?, who wrote their own tunes and looked great - ok they couldnt really sing either but they were better than big bloody fun!!!!
Crezcan, plis.
I actually enjoyed this as a Kid (early-mid 90's), and watching it brings back memories of school disco's and things. Not sure I like it strictly musically speaking though, but hey, Big Fun = CHEESEY!
I heard a story that all three of these young talents slept with Andy Bell and Jimmy Sommerville. After the marthathon sex session they all released a remix of this classic called "A Handfull of Suppositories".
This had to be 1990! Every bloody SAW song had that "whoa-yeh, whoa-yeh, who-yeh, whoa-yeh" background. The were the Britney Spears' of their days ie. style over substance coz I doubt a single one of them could sing! They were cute though.
talentless, manufactured, light pop... the way boy bands should be, not "serious artistes". That's why Nsync and BSB can not hold a candle to this, too much falseness!
im sorry but i liked stock aitken waterman but hated these guys due to their fucking big egos which is why they had such a short careers maybe thats what you get when you say you are better than the beatles

Yes, that band in Heathers is call Big Fun but they're not the same. The American band are more indie. Plus, the film came out longer before Stock, Aiken and Waterman pulled these lads together.

@FFSSAKE But it is laughably bad. Today's music is just bad and inspires depression. You can't even parody or make fun of it.
