@CBeatss It's not a bigger version or something like that. Some how it's completely different. But the control is pretty close to Cubase. It's just more advanced.
I just got Nuendo 4 its my 1st ever recording program, I've been having trouble looping and recording. Any info you can share withe me to make things run a bit smoother?
I think becoming a rocket scientist would be an easier venture than figuring out how to use this. Seems like it would take years to learn, by which time there would be something "newer and improved." lol
I'm wondering if the Nuendo 4 offers a way to make full screen video monitoring on a second screen. As unfortunatly I've just found out, that the graphic cards that once had this feature no longer do. Due to COPP. Did Nuendo make up for this. I'm familiar with Nuendo 3, and I know that I can't do anything there. Does anyone know the answer?
I've just upgraded from Nuendo 2 to Nuendo 4 and I cant seem to find transpose in the midi section. I want to put a bassline down an octave without opening the plugin, in Nuendo 2 there was a drop down section that easily transposed but it appears to have gone in version 4. Any Ideas?
Just to be clear, midi parts default to change with the tempo but audio parts won't unless they're sliced. Other than that, just make sure your Tempo is set to Fixed, if it's set to Track then it means it's following the Tempo Track which overrides the BPM you enter.
You're welcome to e-mail your project to us, then we can open it on our system to see what's going on. You'll probably want to contact Steinberg directly, as well, if it turns out this is a settings issue.
Thanks so much for your offer. I tried it on a friend's PC and it did not work either so I did some investigating. Here's what resolved the issue.
In the Edit section of Preferences the Default Track Time Type needs to be set to Musical and mine was set to Time Linear. From what I read Nuendo does not have Musical as a default setting. it really should be.
surprise, surprise - the english intro and V.O audio is effed (some kinda "ducker" thing is causing this i would think) .
re: the automation
who in the wold would want their entire edit window to be cluttered with every different automation type?
in pro tools for instance...one can toggle through ALL the automation types with a simple key command rather than confusing the entire edit window with various automation tracks. nuendo/logic should steal toggle through automation types from pro tools.
What a boring, stuffy video.. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz nm... looking at other DAW videos...

The best way to do it is with the new Transpose Track (new track type in Nuendo 4). It's very slick. You can also transpose in the Track Inspector.

Calling on Nuendo Midi Gurus!
Why when I record something @ 80 BPM and change the tempo to 120 BPM the music sounds the same (tempo of music doesn't speed up)?
Is there a setting I'm missing. It appears to be the default setting in other progams such as Reason.
I never needed to do this in Nuendo and I've been using the program for years.

Thanks for your response,
I know that audio tempo will not change. I only have one midi track in the project so far and Im using the VST instrument (Halion).
I record a 16th note and quantize it at 80BPM.
I then set tempo to 120BPM and it plays back at the same tempo although the regions shift.
Weird, correct?
I even created a new project with the 1 midi track.
Thanks
