I sang this work in 1970 with the University of Wisconsin Tudor Singers and Collegium Musicum on their tour of the East coast which included a stint at the White House for a Sunday service with the first black minister ever to preach there (under the Nixon Administration). Will never forget that experience or this Byrd anthem.
Post-modernly, an abstract desire for a better future. Post-post-modernly, a direct call of the true nature of mind to reveal itself as nondual and evepresent and synonymous with the Big Heart Mind one taste of the great perfection.
It is Tessa Bonner - great huh!

Great verse anthem that is beautifully performed by choir and consort alike! Is that Tessa Bonner singing the verse?

I don´t know too much Byrd's music, but I have to admit that I have been charmed with this beautiful song.
Gracias.
