Well it depends what you get used to I suppose. We used an incubator a few times but I didn't like it. when compared to a real hen you can see the drawbacks - the come out with no mum around and cheep for her. The mum also naturally knows what to do so there is no fuss. She keeps the eggs warm and the chicks warm when they hatch. If you keep them in a protected run it's fine.
Soo adorable! Im thinking of hatching chicks in the summer but i was going to use an incubator and buy some ready fertilised eggs, this looks far more natural but is it more difficult and risky?
