@jabcreations i like the vid but i just told you some ways to raise fps :) are you recording your webcam with fraps? i can tell you free webcam software to record great quality in pm if u want.
I agree with the few people that have suggested your system may not be performing as it should. I run Oblivion at your res. with 3.25gb ram, quad core, and one Evga 8800GT SC and get better fps than that. I just ordered another Evga 8800GT SC today and will test SLi vs. yours when it gets here...good luck man!
It looks as if your in windowed mode. In windowed mode, the drivers think your on your desktop so lower the clock speeds on the card. If you go to fullscreen mode, the fps boost would be amazing! Just some advice.
hey im a 8800gt owner to! i have the asus glaciator and... i have a problem... i cant see the gpu temps.. the programs i have used is rivatuner/atitool/ntune and nView... all programs shows 0... and i dont think this is ok...
My old Thermaltake 500 came with a front panel that displayed watts being used. The Gigabyte Odin GT 800 watt PSU I purchased to replace the 500 (both of which frigin died on me!) came with lots of cool sensors though ended up not working after a week. Have you read the manual?
if u are talking about my gpu i have found that the ASus 8800gt with the big fan is using new sensor and they have some program called smartdoctor.. im gonna try to find it
On my old X1950 Pro I got 30+ fps on V. High settings at 1280 x 1024 I guess that that was without AA but still It doesn't sound like ure gettin the best performance there.
Yeah I play Oblivion with my single 8800GT overclocked to 712mhz core/999mhz memory/1782mhz shader clock. I play with HDR, 4xAA, 16xAF 1280x1024. I get FPS between 30FPS up to 78FPS and average probably 55-60FPS. Thats with a Q6600 clocked to just 2.7ghz.
Someone mentioned (though I have yet to test) forcing AA on in the nVidia control panel and then choosing HDR. You have to have an 8xxx series card however as 7xxx isn't physically capable I recall reading?
It'd be easier to answer if nVidia drivers didn't piss me off (restarts *JUST* to switch between dual-view and SLI?!?!) With so many requests I need a little time to confirm all of this.
I'm simply using the nVidia nTune/Control Panel (that can't decide it's name, if features will appear, and etc).
When I overclocked my cards I did them separately to find out if I could get a balanced OC in SLI.
3DMark06 seems to only benefit the Canyon Flight test which does not give it as much of a boast as desired. Can anyone with Crossfire let us know how ATI cards perform?
aww dude my 8400 had better fps upgrade your cpu (effects performence alot) dont window ur game update any drivers and defragment your hdd
cotyslick 1 year ago
@cotyslick It's called FRAPS.
jabcreations 1 year ago
@jabcreations wtf are you talking about bro?
cotyslick 1 year ago
@cotyslick FRAPS reduces the performance when recording, that or I could have (three years ago) recorded this with the web cam everyone hates.
jabcreations 1 year ago
@jabcreations IK i make vids with fraps. but your not recording with fraps are u?
cotyslick 1 year ago
@cotyslick It should be pretty obvious which videos were recorded with FRAPS and which ones weren't.

sli comes wit its power at high resolution, not at 1024 or 1280, at 16xx res man
Ienjoyinlife 3 years ago
My single 8800GT gets 60 FPS outdoors with 16xQAA and 16xAF enabled along with HDR @ 1680x1050.
Try updating your drivers and the game.
Hunger4Power 3 years ago
lol, not even in SLi man, i got 8800GT so i know
Ienjoyinlife 3 years ago
You should be getting MUCH better FPS than that... try no AA and a higher resolution.

What CPU do you have?
Performance is terrible for a 8800GT. On my 8600GT I get higher FPS than you with 2X AA and HDR turned on at 1280x720. Everything else maxed too.
CPU is AMD X2 5000+

you should say that u have a amd not a core 2

1680x1050 max everything AND 2x AA
I get 40-120 fps (inside or out) dips to 30 in fog and when i put 4x AA on!
You need some serious drivers or SLI is deciding to be ghey.
(my cpu is 3.6GHz core 2 duo)

I hate how NVIDIA still won't let HDR + AA happen in Oblivion :(
